Beauty favorites for September 2018

Hey everyone! Happy October to you all! After a long time I have my beauty favorites for September 2018. Last monthly favorites post was really long time ago. I believe it was back in January :-).  When the first few days of the month are gone I feel I am late for this post. So I postpone it to the next month. But here I am with my beauty favorites for September 2018 after eight months. Now that I think January was long time ago, but frankly this year is going by way too fast.

BASE – Primer and foundations

Benefit Porefessional Pearl Primer – I love both the regular Benefit Porefessional as well as the Benefit Porefessional Pearl Primer. Since I ran out of the original one this is my current go to primer. It is a nice primer that keeps me matte by adding some glow. Having oily skin this gives me the right amount of luminosity, that I need. It creates a smooth base for the foundation and also hides the imperfections perfectly. Well! i have almost finished this one as well. But currently trying out a L’Oreal one too.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light – Due to the hot weather here. I like to wear light makeup, and prefer the bb creams and cc creams. My favorite for everyday are Bourjois CC Cream and the It Cosmetics CC Cream. But sometimes I like to use a nice full coverage foundation and the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, is great and feels light on the skin. I Like to use it along with the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder. This foundation is light and absorb the excess oil through out the day. A slight dusting of the powder gives a nice base for everything else. I just love the combination.

BLUSH – Two blushes for the summertime.

Benefit GALifornia blush – I have been using this pink coral blush that adds some sheen. During summer time peach toned blushes are what I loves to use. The coral shade itself adds some glow to my cheeks.

Milani blush in Luminoso – This is another blush that is perfect for summer time. The pigmentation is subtle and you can never go wrong with it. Besides it is a shade that look pretty across all complexions.

EYES

I love using eyeliners especially the colored ones. These are the shades that I have used for the past few months and I think these have become my all time favorites too.

Tarte So Fine Liquid Eye liner in black – I have never purchased a liquid liner in ages, because I am not good at it. I have tried but in vain. But the Tarte So Fine Liquid eye liner is very easy to use. I got this in some free set. The brush tip is VERY fine and light enough to use. Once dried it does not smudge or flake and lasts well on the eyes.

Maybelline LastingDrama water proof gel pencil in the shade Lustruous Sapphire – This is a pretty cobalt blue shade. Not too bright and dark enough to use it instead of a black liner. Besides it looks gorgeous when you are wearing a blue dress or top.

Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Liner in 47 Purple night – Again a pretty purple. The outer packaging is exactly similar to the shade of the liner. I use the colored liners in my outer lower water line and smudge it a little. This adds a little color to the eyes and I don’t need to use an eye shadow.

Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Liner in 51 Golden Dress – This is beautiful rusted metallic golden color. A great option when I don’t have the nude liner for my lower water line. I have small eyes and this helps open up my eyes hehe!

Marc Jacob Highliner in Fine Wine – This is a stunning color and very creamy and very smooth. Pigmentation and the lasting power is on another level.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara – My current favorite L’oreal Lash Paradise mascara. This makes my lashes fuller in one coat. This looks natural and perfect for everyday. It has almost dried and will be getting another tube soon. I love this mascara a lot.

L’Oreal Pocket Eyeshadow Palette – Small and cute that fits perfectly in your pocket hehe! I use eye shadow occasionally and this palette has the perfect shades for everyday use. Just to add a little something on the eyes.

LIPS

My favorite and the most used makeup item is lipsticks. I use lipstick every single day. There are so many that I keep in rotation but the most that I have used in the past couple months are.

Maybelline New York Color Whisper Lipsticks in the shades –  45 and 85 – These lipsticks are very moisturizing and sheer enough to be used anytime and anywhere. But can be build to a nice opaque color if needed. These are my go to grocery shopping lipsticks. It’s a shame that these are now discontinued. However, these are still available on Amazon. Very pretty packaging and comfortable on the lips. Since these are very moisturizing the lasting power is just a few hours.

L’Oreal 12 hrs long wearing lipstick in the shade 737 Persistent Plum – A beautiful plum berry color in matte finish. Sometimes I love to wear darker shades in the evenings and  just as a stain during day time. Berry colors look lovely on my medium skin tone. The pigmentation of the L’Oreal 12 Hrs long wearing lipsticks is insane and will last whole day. Fades well and leaves a light stain behind.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid lipstick in the shade 14 Plum Plum Girl – These liquid lipstick are one of the best at the drugstore. The formula is so light weight and feels like nothing on the lips. Once it sets it is going no where. This is a beautiful mauve plum shade that looks great on all complexions.

Ofra Liquid lipstick in the shade Verona – This is the first time I tried Ofra Liquid lipsticks. I received this, in one of my Boxycharm subscription. I am so glad I got this. The formula is just amazing and so comfortable. It does not dry the lips or crumble. I love it. This shade is a very popular one and I love paring it with the Bourjois Plum Plum Girl. The combination is just the perfect nude for me.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss in the shade 316 Statement Nude – L’Oreal pro matte gloss is again my favorite for daily wear. Perfect nude and comfortable on the lips. These are amazing you should try them. 🙂

Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks in the shades 434 Madamoselle and 446 Etienne – Both these lipsticks live in my purse. Madamoselle  is a lovely nude shade and Etienne is darker plum berry color. I wear these individually as well as mix them together. These are very moisturizing and pretty.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray – I just love this setting spray for my oily skin. It sets the makeup perfectly and makes it last longer.  This is always there in my stash. 🙂

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette –  Last, but not the least. Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette is my favorite for really long time. I tend to forget to use it, but I always remember to carry it when I am travelling. This palette is a great investment. It has three ambient lighting powders in dim light, incandescent light and radiant light. This powder seems magical. It adds a nice glow to the face. Great to use it as a highlighter as well as all over the face.

Overall, everything that I have included here has been on round for the past few months. I have tried and tested them enough to include in my monthly favorites. But now I see that there are a few repeats from my last monthly favorites, but these are what I have genuinely used for the past months. I am almost running out of a few products though. I also hope that I have not included way too many products, especially the lipsticks part :-).
