L’Oreal Color Riche Pocket Palette Review

Hello everyone! I always find small little things really cute. When I saw the L’Oreal Color Riche Pocket Palette, it was not easy for me to pass. But, I was a good girl and just got one from the collection. When I saw these palettes displayed, I was drawn to them.  Here I am with my thoughts on this small palette.

The packaging of the L’Oreal Color Riche Pocket Palette is a cute little plastic compact. The size and the packaging is quite similar to their powder foundation compacts. The lid of the palette is transparent, so we can see the shades clearly. This palette consists of four eye shadows. The shades range is good, with a variety of finishes. There are eight shades available. We get blues, browns, purples, beige and grey. I got the shade No. 106 Boudior Charme because it immediately caught my eyes. Besides I love these kind of neutral shades. The other shades in the collection have a mix of finishes. Some of them have a matte shadow as well.

The formula of the L’Oreal Color Riche Pocket Palette is very soft and velvety. These eye shadows have a soft feel to them. The shadows are very easy to use and show true to color on the eyes. The pigmentation of the eye shadow in the Boudior Charme palette is good. In short, this is an effortless palette. This reminds me of my Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow palette.

All the eye shadows in the Boudior Charme Palette have shimmery finish. However, the shimmers are subtle and not too metallic. There is no matte shadow in this palette. I wish there was one though, but in the swatches, they don’t seem  too intense in shimmer. We can create a nice one shadow look, using this palette.

#1 – The first eye shadow in this palette is a medium light champagne with some peach undertone.  It does not have a lot of shimmer to it. But has that wet sheen like look to it.

#2 – The second shadow in the palette is a medium dark rusty reddish brown with some fine glitters. 

#3 – The third shade is a beautiful deep bronze. This one also has shimmery finish along with some glitters. This eye shadow has the maximum glitter in comparison to the other shades in this palette.

#4 – The last shade in the palette is a neutral deep dark brown. This one also has some fine glitters, just like the second shadow. The glitters, however are very fine.

Overall, a great palette to try. The formulation is great, smooth texture, no chalkiness and beautiful finish. All the shadows in the L’Oreal Color Riche Pocket Palette have almost foil like finish. This palette is good to create a one shadow look. We can wear all the shades individually. Like when we don’t need to wear any makeup but just need a little something on the eyes. This palette is great for that. But, to create a balanced eye look, we will need another palette or another matte eye shadow. I am more of a natural and neutral eyes lover, so this palette is really good and handy. You can purchase these palettes from various drugstores, L’Oreal Website and also from Amazon.
