Hello my dear friends! I was just singing la la la… and the month of April flew by. Then I realized it is time for the April Beauty favorites Makeup & Skincare. I try to rotate the products so I am able to use them. Well! I won’t take much of your time as there are a bunch of products to talk about. Let me start my April beauty favorites with skincare, that includes the face masks I love.
Face Masks :
The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask – This has become one of my must have face masks, when I suffer from acne. It is very cooling, soothing and effective. Even though it is a clay mask, it does not dry the skin. You can keep it on for a long time, without drying our skin. I also use it as spot treatment. It is a wonderful mask for oily acne prone skin. If you have not tried this mask I highly recommend. It is reasonably priced and there is a lot of product, that will last a long time. I love the creamy smooth texture of this mask. You can check my detail review here.
Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Peel off Mask – Since I have oily skin that is mostly prone to acne, I like to use face masks that help me keep check on the pimples. The Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem range of products are great for that. Especially the Purifying Neem face Pack. I had accidentally purchased the Purifying Neem Peel off mask. But, ended up loving it. Because it is very soothing and refreshing. I love the eucalyptus scent, even though there is no eucalyptus mentioned in the ingredient list. 🙂 I have been very fascinated my the peel off masks, since the beginning and currently love using this one. It makes my skin smooth and brightens up the complexion by lifting off the dirt and grime that is on the surface. It works well with the whole Himalaya Herbals Neem range of skincare.
Origins Drink up Intensive Overnight Mask – Origins has some lovely face masks. The Drink up Intensive Overnight Mask is very hydrating and leaves my skin looking lively and fresh in the morning. If you have dry skin, I highly recommend trying this mask. I also love the Origins Rose Clay mask which is great if you have oily skin like mine.
Fragrance :
Love Story by Chloe – I have this fragrance for a while. Thanks to hubby darling. It is a citrus-y fresh, sparkling floral fragrance, that later turns into sugary sweetness. However, the sweetness is not overwhelming. During dry down it becomes more soft and romantic floral, but the sweetness is still there. I think this is a very delicate ladylike fragrance. It is perfect for any woman who loves sweet florals 🙂 The silage and longevity is very good. This is probably one of my favorite spring/summer fragrance. I have almost finished this fragrance. Yes, I would love to buy another bottle, but there are so many perfumes that I have to try. 🙂 The bottle is cute with that ribbon and I love the name of this fragrance. Perfect gift for your loved one. 🙂
Nails :
Dior Nail polish – Diorific Varnis 673 Ruby – This is such a pretty raspberry red with some fine shimmer. I wore this color on my nails twice in a row for half the month and can’t get enough. 🙂
Base :
Estee Lauder Double Wear Light – This is a lighter version of the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. It provides medium to full coverage. This is great for the hot summer days. But, I prefer bb creams and cc creams instead of foundations. But last month I used it quite frequently as I want to finish this product, hence the mention. I have a detail post on this foundation, if you want to know more. 🙂
Laura Mercier Loose setting powder – This is one of my favorite to set my makeup and keep me matte all day long. It is translucent, thus blends well with the skin and does not look cake-y. Besides it smooths the skin of pores and imperfections. If you have oily skin, you need this because it helps to control oil through out the day.
Blush & Highlighter :
Benefit Galifornia blush – This is the perfect blush for spring and summer. It gives that bright peachy pink color to the cheeks and the fine shimmers translate into a luminous finish. I have been loving this blush a lot lately. Of course there are others on the rounds too, that I have mentioned below. I have spoken about this blush in detail here.
Milani Illuminating Face Powder – The Milani illuminating face powder works both are a glow finishing powder as well as adds some color to the face. But it all depends on where you have placed your brush. I most of the time use it as a finishing powder. It gives that just perfect natural looking glow. The shade that I am enjoying is 01 Amber Nectar, which is the center one in the picture below.
Natasha Denona Blush and glow – This compact has become my favorite for the past weeks. The pigmentation is very subtle and natural, which I love. I have mentioned in my post earlier, about this not showing up on my medium skin tone. But it provides just enough glow and blush that I prefer. If you want intense looking highlight you may not like it.
Becca Jacklyn Hill Champagne Split – Having oily skin I use less highlighters. Champagne pop is a very pretty one but I am loving the blush in this compact. The shade is Flowerchild. It is a warm peachy pink blush.
Eyes :
Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel crayons in the shades – Orange Crush and Ro(Cocoa) – In the eyes department it is pretty simple. I prefer brown eye liners as they look softer and not too much. I just love using colored liners and these shades add a little color to the eyes. Besides these are waterproof and perfect for the current hot weather.
L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara – Yes! I am still loving this mascara. -_- hehehe. Just realized the name is perfect. It turns my lashes into paradise. Long fuller and water proof. Just keep blinking. Imagine some pretty girl in those cartoons, she will smile and blink 🙂
La La La Lipsticks : April beauty favorites can never be complete without my favorite lippies.
NYX Lip liner in the shade Burgundy – This is one of my favorite shades. I have a backup. I love this color and when a particular lipstick looks meh on me I add a little bit of this lip liner. The formula is creamy and has a matte finish. But I don’t like to sharpen it all the time. 🙂
L’Oreal Lipstick in the shade Pretty Peach – A pretty warm pink which is very moisturizing and adds some shine to the lips. I have almost used up half of it. I guess these lipsticks are only available in Asia. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Sephora Collection Marsala lip color – This is again a beautiful nude shade perfect for everyday. It is very moisturizing and comfortable on the lips.
Tarteist Lip Paint in the shade Homeslice – The lip paints by Tarte are long lasting liquid lipsticks that are comfortable on the lips. I received this shade in one of my Boxycharm subscription. It is a peachy pink shade perfect for the spring and summer. However, I add a little of my NYX burgundy lip liner to mute the brightness of this shade.
These are all my April beauty favorites that I have been loving lately. I also try to rotate the products so I use it. What are your April beauty favorites let me know in the comments. 🙂 I have used some old pictures too for this post. 😀
Until next time stay bright and beautiful!

So many good products! I need to try the Double Wear Light asap! I use to use the regular double wear when I had really oily skin and acne, but as I’ve gotten older my skin is way to dry for the regular double wear

Hi Jessica! Double wear light is a nice option but I suggest you try a sample first as it is also good for oily skin with medium to full coverage. I am more into bb and cc creams these days. Thank you very much 🙂
So many great products. I use that same mascara and love it!

What an epic post filled with so many goodies, the Dior nail lacquer, the Origins mask, the blush…I adore reading favourites post to see what was in rotation and find out the user’s true experience. Thanks as always for sharing this Ms. V xoxo 🙂
Lots of lovely products here, Via. As you know, I’m a huge Origins fan and I have both the masks you mention here. Drink Up is probably my all time favourite overnight mask in fact. I can’t believe I still haven’t tried Double Wear yet, I really need to get myself down to a store for a skin match. And I’m still sad that we can’t get Milani over here, they look like such a good budget brand. Lovely round up, thank you for sharing and I hope May is good to you! Lisa x
i still repurchase the l’oreal lash paradise mascara every 3 months! i love the waterproof version too!

This collection was so good Via! I love night time mask routines, i feel like people often think about just cleaning their face in the morning, but forget that throughout the day we may sweat, dirt gets on faces etc, so its good to do a face was at night before bed.
Also that himalaya mask looks so good, i am definitely going to have to purchase me some. i also love a good mascara. thanks for sharing!
omg loving this post!

Wow, you use so many cosmetics! I wish my favourite list was just as long but I’m quite lazy and only use cream in the morning 😉 Ps. the nail polish is really cute, no wonder you wore it twice in a row!
