Hello lovely ladies! In April I mentioned, I blinked and the month is gone. I think I blink way too much and too fast. Because its May beauty favorites time. I am repeating the same old statement, “its already June”. “Where has the past months gone? It was March two days back and yesterday was April.” and May flew by too! Uff! Time, please slow down, because you are aging me fast. 🙂 Okay, enough of my drama and lets get back to my May beauty favorites post. This time I forgot to include skincare. Oops! 😀 But here are some makeup goodies that I have rediscovered and have been enjoying in the month of May.
Base
L’Oreal True Match Foundation – This is one of my favorite light weight foundation that matches my skin tone perfectly. It provides light to medium coverage which I prefer in this hot and humid weather. The finish is flawless and looks natural by adding some radiance to the skin. I have been using it very frequently for the past month. There is a vast shade range. I checked Amazon 46 shades are available. This is a lovely foundation and so affordable.
Clinique Loose Setting Powder – I have a few favorite loose setting powders and Clinique loose setting powder is one of them. I love the smooth finish and helps in keeping me matte through out the day. Sometimes, I use it alone and it gives light coverage, which is great in the hot summer days, when you don’t want to wear any makeup. There are some other options like Coty Airspun, and my Laura Mercier loose setting powder which are also my favorites.
Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer – Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer is a glow-y makeup lovers dream, if you have oily skin. This soft-radiance face primer instantly minimizes the look of pores, locks on makeup and helps skin look bright and awake. This primer is similar to the POREfessional one but with a hint of glow. It provides enough glow along with keeping the skin matte all day. I think I will be sticking around with this one for a while.
Blush & Highlight
Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher – I always thought I love lipsticks but I realized I also love blushes. The Bourjois round pot blusher is amazing. I have been using the shade 33 Lilas d’Or a lot lately. The formula is incredibly transparent and light in texture. It is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the blush reveals the irresistible rose scented aroma. I miss this brand here.
Milani Rose Powder blush – Milani is one of my favorite cruelty free drugstore brand. The Rose powder blush in the shade Romantic Rose looks gorgeous in the compact. I have to admit I bought it for the beautiful look of this blush. But the soft and natural finish it gives to the cheeks is very pretty. The shade range is very flattering and perfect for all skin tones.
Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette – This is one of the cult favorite across beauty industry. Now no one talks about it. But this is a palette you should own if you love makeup. Sleek Solstice palette is a beautiful highlighting palette with four shades. However, I have been using one shade Equinox more often than others. It instantly enhances the complexion with radiant golden glow. The metallic sheen provides a luminous sheen to the face and body. This palette is also perfect for all skin tones. Since I am trying to use up my makeup, this palette is coming handy. 🙂
Eyes
Tarte Love Trust & Fairy Dust Eye Shadow Palette – This is another beautiful palette by Tarte. I love the shimmery packaging. I have been reaching out for this palette for my subtle eye makeup. However, I have used it less often and there are some shades that seem to be untouched. But this palette helps me in getting just a simple eye look.
L’Oreal Colour Riche Pocket Palette – I love small palettes and L’Oreal Colour Riche Pocket Palette in the shade Boudoir Charme is perfect for me. Love the natural earthy colors in this palette. The shadows are very creamy and blend like dream. This is also great for that one shadow eye look, which I most of the time do. Sometimes, I just use my fingers to apply the shadows and done.
Lancome Drama Liqui Pencil Noir Extreme – Love love love these eyeliners by Lancome, that I had to include in my May Beauty favorites post. I received a mini sample of eye products from Sephora when I redeemed my points. This black eye liner is extremely black. It is very creamy and glides smoothly. Stays in place all day. However, since it is a wooden pencil, we have to sharpen. But, in a way it is also good as it does not dry out quickly.
Lancome Drama Liqui Pencil Ampule – This one again was in the set of mini samples from Sephora. I have a thing for colored eye liners and prefer colored liners to eye shadows 🙂 This purple color is very pretty and versatile to use. You can apply and smudge it instantly or just let the color peek through.
Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara – I rarely buy high end mascara, because drugstore has the best ones. Besides, mascara dry out in 4-5 months. I have not purchased mascara for the past two or more years now. As I usually get in my Boxycharm subscription box. I got to try this mini Tarte Tareist lash paint mascara when I redeemed my Sephora points. It gives my lashes a natural yet fuller look and it’s free.
Lips – My May beauty favorites cannot be complete without the mention on lipsticks.
Dior Holiday Couture Collection Daring Lip palette – This lip palette by Dior is one of my favorite makeup item in my collection. Lip palettes are so versatile and pretty as the same time. I did not get the chance to wear much of the red lipsticks in this palette but the Dior Lip glow is one that I was reaching out for the most. I love the minty flavor and the shine and fullness it provides to my lips.
Colourpop Lux Lipstick in the shade La Lady – One of the most stunning nude shade. I love this color a lot. The formula is very creamy and comfortable and also very affordable. These lipsticks are one of the best that I have tried. I highly recommend these.
Sephora Collection Creme Lip Stain in the shade 13 Marvelous Mauve – This is a silky, long-lasting lip stain that stays on the lips all day. This shade is a perfect nude for everyday. It has a nice light weight formula that feels like nothing. Infused with avocado oil, the long-lasting formula delivers rich color that feels comfortable and does not dry lips.
These are all the products that I have been enjoying for the past month. I hope you liked this post. However, I did not mention any skincare, because I am still using the same ones. 🙂 What are your May beauty favorites? Please let me know. 🙂
Until next time stay healthy, bright and beautiful!

I absolutely love that loreal true match foundation. I don’t think I’ve found a drugstore foundation that fits my shade and undertone as well as this one. I’m happy you enjoy it too. I’ve wanted to try out Colourpop’s lux lipstick, but haven’t gotten around to it, but looks like I should!

I love that you have different types of beauty products – it is great to see how different product works. I didn’t know that Clinique has a loose setting powder. I hear so much about the L’Oreal foundation lately – I need to check this out, especially when it gives you a bit of SPF. Thanks for sharing these faves!
