Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Creme Review

Hello friends! I almost forgot to post about Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Creme. Marc Jacobs released his version of liquid lipsticks a couple years back. Be it regular lipstick or liquid lipstick, I am in. 🙂

The packaging of the Marc Jacobs Le Marc liquid lip creme is luxe and elegant. A black colored glossy tube with sparkling silver accent. There is a tiny circular window, in the tube, that displays the color inside. However, because the shades in this range are quite similar, it is a bit difficult to guess which color you are picking. Especially, if you own all the shades from this line. I just have two shades but still find it a little difficult to pick the shade I want. I have to double check the name of the lipstick at the bottom. The simple and elegant tube has a regular doe-foot applicator, which is nice for precise application.

The formula of the Marc Jacobs Le Marc liquid lip creme is very rich and creamy. It is like real melted lipstick. These liquid lipsticks are infused with Brazilian Cupuaco butter and collagen that help nourish the lips along with making them look fuller.

Le Marc liquid lip creme is saturated with pigments. The pigmentation is similar to the Marc Jacobs Le Marc lipsticks (the regular lipsticks). We only need one swipe to get full coverage. Just after application these have a creamy finish with some sheen. After, sometime, it sets to semi-matte finish. However, it does not dry down like a typical liquid lipsticks like the Wet n Wild liquid catsuit lipsticks, J.cat beauty liquid lipsticks and even the Milani liquid lipsticks that I have used.

Even though the Le Marc liquid creme is semi-matte, these are not transfer proof. However, it feels light weight and comfortable on the lips. Well, this reminds me of Nars velvet lip glide and L’Oreal Pro matte glosses. These are very similar in terms of pigmentation and finish.

The lasting power of Marc Jacobs Le Marc liquid lip creme is impressive, for these do not dry and set. Even though, it is almost smudge-proof on the lips, it slowly fades during the day, after about 5-6 hours of wear. I like that it fades evenly. However, after meal we have to re-apply because it disappears from the inner part of the lips. But, the intensity of the color is there for about 5-6 hours. 🙂

The Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid lip creme comes in six beautiful bold nude shades. All the six shades are neutral nudes, that belong to pink, rosy pink, dusty pinks, mauve pinks and brown-y pink. I chose two shades that I believe looks good on my medium skin tone. Besides, I prefer darker nudes. The two shades that I got are Shush Blush and Hot Cocoa. However, all the shades in this line are perfect for all complexion.

Shush Blush – Shush blush is a darker warm toned dusty pink. This shade is very flattering on every skin tone. It adds a hint of brightness to the face. I prefer this shade when I don’t want to wear a dark or bright lipstick. Besides this type of shade is favorite of every one 🙂

Hot Cocoa – A perfect brown with a hint of warmth to it. Almost like a perfect beige with some warmth to it. It is dark enough for my liking and takes me back to the 90’s. 🙂 This is a beautiful shade for medium to deep skin tones. However, I feel there is no rule to makeup. I wear, what I feel, looks good on me. 🙂

Overall, I love these just like my NARS and L’Oreal ones. If you like liquid lipsticks you will definitely love them. Even though the shades are supposed to be nudes, they still have that pop of color which looks pretty. Both the shades are very pigmented, but unlike other liquid lipsticks, these are very moisturizing. It is not as long lasting as the Sephora lip stain or the Kat Von D,  but feels very comfortable on the lips. However, I feel that these keep getting matte through out the day. But I love how it makes my lips look fuller. If you have not tried the Marc Jacobs Le Matte Liquid lip creme, I highly recommend. These are available at Sephora.
