Hi! Today again lipsticks! Oops! Hehe! I have to share some drugstore lipsticks you need to try. It always feel good to purchase a beautiful and luxurious lipstick from the big luxury brands. We all do, but let’s be real; it is much more satisfying when we discover something as good at the drugstore. Spending an amount of money on one bullet and then spending the same amount of money and getting more shades makes me happy. 🙂
My first lipstick was from the drugstore and there are so many brands that I have tried. So many higher end brands and Luxury brands as well. But, today I want to share some drugstore lipsticks you need to try. Maybe you have tried them already. My last blog post on Colourpop lux lipsticks inspired me to do this post. Believe me there are some true gems at the drugstore. I have included some regular classic lipsticks, lips gloss as well as some liquid lipsticks that I already have in my collection and love them a lot. 🙂
Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte lipsticks – Wet n Wild truly has budget friendly makeup you need to try. This brand is one of the most affordable, with great quality products at the drugstore. The super thin formula of the Wet n Wild Megalast liquid catsuit matte lipsticks clings perfectly to the curves of the lips and one swipe delivers intense color. It feels like nothing on the lips and is very comfortable through out the day. The shades included are Rebel Rose and Give me Mocha.
NYX Soft Matte lip creams – This is the cult favorite of many. The formula is smooth and very creamy. I love it because it is very comfortable to wear through out the day and these are available in endless shades. You are bound to find a shade or two that you will love. It is easy to buy multiple shades because of the affordable price point. The featured shades are San Paulo and Prague.
Milani Amore Matte Lip Cream – Milani is a brand you absolutely need to try. These are the long lasting lipsticks. The formula is very smooth liquid cream that delivers intense color to the lips. This one is also transfer resistant in matte finish. These are available in variety of shades and finishes, even metallic. I could not find my original matte lip cream so I featured the metallic ones. These are a little darker for my liking but I mute it down with a lighter shade to make it work. Nonetheless beautiful shades for the fall time. 🙂 The shades are No.10 Pretty Problemattic and No.15 Ultimatte.
L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte gloss – The L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte glosses are more like liquid lipsticks than gloss. The finish is matte and the pigmentation is superb. Feels very comfortable yet matte. Lasts a long time on the lips and fades evenly leaving a light stain behind. These are available in pretty nudes, bight shades, reds and berry tones. The shades featured here are 316 Statement Nude and 318 Bare Attraction. These are such pretty everyday nude shades. I am also posting the best blurry image of the swatches. Sorry!
Revlon Matte Balms – These are the chubby lip crayons that were a rage when released a few years back. The formula is amazing with great pigmentation. These last a long time on the lips. Even though the formula is matte, it feels comfortable to wear. The Revlon matte balms are available in multiple shades and finishes. I love the minty scent/flavor of these. The shades featured are 220 Showy and 225 Sultry. I love Sultry a lot, it is my favorite shade. 🙂
Milani Color Statement Lipsticks – One of the favorite brands at the drugstore is Milani. The Milani Color Statement Lipsticks are just wonderful. The shade range is very impressive along with the various finishes. These lipsticks are not only creamy but also offer rich pigments in one swipe. The featured shades are 46 Power Pink and 17 Plumrose. I will do a dedicated post on these lipsticks because I love them so much.
L’Oreal Extraodinaire lip gloss – If you are a lip gloss girl this is a beautiful one that I suggest. The moisturizing formula keeps the lips soft and supple. It has a thicker formula without the stickiness and rich color payoff along with high shine. However the lasting power is less, but very comfortable on the lips. The featured shade is 703 Caramel Solo. These are just lovely. The shade is prettier than in the swatch.
Maybelline New York Color Whisper lipsticks – I have already spoken about these beautiful Maybelline New York Color Whisper lipsticks at the drugstore, in detail. The gel like texture and the light weight formula makes it a must try for those who love a good moisturizing lipstick. This lipstick feels like a tinted lip balm. The color payoff is nice and can be build to full opacity. The shades below are No.95 (light pink) and No.85 ( darker berry shade).
Revlon Ultra HD lipsticks – The formula of the Ultra HD lipsticks by Revlon is based on wax free gel technology. These are light weight and provide intense color clarity to the lips. I find them to be similar to the Maybelline Color Whisper lipsticks. These are moisturizing but lack longevity. However, it leaves a light stain behind which I like. The shades below are 825 Hydrangea and 835 Primrose. Both the shades are gorgeous but I love Primrose a lot. 🙂
L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks – I just can’t end this post without the honorable mention of L’Oreal lipsticks in general. Be it the classic Color Riche lipsticks or the lip glosses. I love them all. I know there are many who do not like the L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick because of the scent but, I don’t mind it at all. These lipsticks are also infused with vitamin E and argan oil which makes it comfortable to wear. The L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks are the most budget friendly options among L’Oreal lip products. Check out the beautiful shade range from nudes to darker shades. There is one waiting for you. The featured shades are Rose Bud and 560 Saucy Mauve.
That’s all my friends these are some of my most tried and tested lipsticks at the drugstore. Since lipstick is my favorite makeup item I constantly keep trying new ones. It’s like candy, I want to eat them all haha! I have to mention these are some drugstore lipsticks you need to try. The price and quality are unbeatable. This post turned out longer than I expected. I rarely stray from drugstore lipsticks, I think their formulas are spot on for pigmentation and staying power. My all time favourite is Revlon, their Cherries in the Snow was a classic blue-red, which always gave my face some life! Fab recommendations and photos as always, Via xx
