Yo! February is already over! Hello beauties! Today, I have my monthly makeup favorites for February 2020. Well! technically it is what I have been using for the past three months now. Sorry for not including any skincare. I will do that next time as I am trying out some new products especially face masks. But, today I am posting about all the makeup favorites for February 2020 as well as January 2020, that I have used the most and loved.
Base Makeup
Cover FX Blurring Primer – I have featured this primer in my September 2019 beauty favorites and am still loving it as I want to use it all. I received this primer in my Boxycharm. It smooths my skin and helps to minimize the look of large pores and fine lines. My foundation and cc creams apply well on a smoother base. Besides it adds a little glow to the face.
Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream – This CC cream has become my holy grail. I don’t prefer to wear heavy foundations on a daily basis. Whenever I am travelling I like to take the Bourjois 123 cc cream along as it is easy to apply and works best for my liking. It color corrects my complexion by reducing the look of redness and other pigmentation on my skin. Besides it is light weight and stays well all day. I also like It Cosmetics CC cream, but its been a while I used it. 🙂
L’Oreal Infallible Pro matte powder foundation – Another holy grail for me. I have already used up four compacts of this powder. I have oily skin and this powder is perfect to control oils and keep my skin matte and fresh. It works best at setting my makeup. It is also great as my regular powder foundation with light to medium coverage. Besides, the shade is a perfect match for me. I also love using loose powders like the Coty Airspun, Laura Mercier loose powder etc. But when I am travelling I try to pack mini size makeup and less items. Here the L’Oreal Pro matte works the best.
Hourglass Ghost Blush Palette – Since I got this palette in my hands, I have been using this a lot. I love the formula and all the four shades in this quad. It comes handy to mix and match the shades as well. It adds a nice luminous flush to the cheeks, which looks gorgeous. But when I was on vacation to NYC and DC, I also carried my Dior 999 blush. It is just beautiful and very pigmented. I had to mention it.
Eyes
Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette – This has become my favorite eyeshadow palette. It is small in size and has all the shades that I prefer. The formula is very creamy and soft. It is just beautiful and I love using this palette.
Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette – Another favorite by Natasha Denona. I am not much of an eyeshadow type person. My focus is more on blushes and lipsticks. So, it is easy for me to use these palettes with few shades and great formula. And the mini size makes it easy for travel.
Nude Stix Magnetic Luminous eye color in shade Copper Foil – This is another fabulous product that was included in one of my Boxycharm. Love this coppery shade and is very creamy and easy to apply. I use it as eye liner to open up my small eyes as well as eye shadow. The formula is very creamy and blends beautifully. I will need to get a full size one later.
Benefit They Are Real Mascara – I rarely purchase mascaras. I always get a couple mini ones while shopping at Sephora. Either by using my Sephora points or I buy some set that includes a bunch of mini size products. I have to say this is a lovely mascara, that makes my lashes fuller and longer at the same time. It is another holy grail kind of mascara for me. Another favorite is from the drugstore L’Oreal lash paradise.
Lancome Drama Liqui Pencil Noir Extreme – Love this eyeliner by Lancome. I am still using the mini sample from Sephora points. It is extremely black, very creamy and glides smoothly. Stays in place all day. However, since it is a wooden pencil, we have to sharpen. But, in a way it is also good as it does not dry out quickly. I forgot to include it in the picture.
Lips – My favorite makeup item and my most used one.
SUGAR Berry tinted lip treatment – First of all you need to take good care of your lips in order to wear lipsticks. Sugar lip balm is one of my favorite for a really long time. I always make sure to have one with me. There are other lip treatments that I use. Regular lip balms, my Laneige lip sleeping mask and Milani lip oils that keep my lips in good condition. But this one is like magical. It helps me when my lips feel really very dry and chapped. Besides I love the tint and shine on this one. It also works as a lipstick.
Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in shade Hot Cocoa – This is a beautiful peachy brown nude for everyday. The formula of the Le Marc Creme are very creamy, comfortable and long lasting. This is still doing the rounds as my favorite shade. Besides I am also trying to use up the product. 🙂
NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick in shade Do Me Baby – First of all I don’t like the look of lip crayons. I love a regular lipstick. That is the reason I never purchased this one. However, I received a mini sample in my Give me more lips set and I used it all and bought a new full size one. A beautiful nude brown shade with a hint of pink. The formula is very creamy and slides beautifully on the lips. I feel it smooths out the lines on my lips making them look more fuller. But now it is not twisting up. It did when I purchased it. I am sad about that.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in shade Bond Girl – Charlotte Tilbury is a brand that have been on my list forever. I guess, I am the last person to be talking about this lipstick. 🙂 A beautiful brown nude shade that will look good on all complexion. The formula is very creamy and moisturizing. Loving it a lot. This was also included in my Give me more lips set. Actually, I bought the set for this lipstick.
Lisa Eldridge lipstick in shade Skyscraper Rose – These lipsticks really make me feel very happy. This is one of the best pinks I own. A beautiful bright vibrant raspberry pink. It is a bright shade to wear. Sometimes I mute it down with NARS velvet matte lipstick and it looks fabulous.
That’s all of my makeup favorites for February 2020. I hope you liked and was helpful. Today, is 29th February 2020 and I wanted to do this post also because this date will come again after four years. :D. I try to post my monthly favorites posts, but sometimes I get late.
