Hi! In my last Colourpop Haul blog post you have already seen that I purchased some Colourpop Lux Lipsticks. Well! I had to do a separate post on them, because these are so beautiful and amazing. Colourpop is such an affordable and great brand. I am just vowed by the quality, formula and price of their products. When Colourpop Lux Lipsticks were announced, I was eager to get them, all of them hehe. You by now probably know how much I love lipsticks. They are so beautiful to look at and of course to use as well :-). I also have a special place in my heart for Colourpop as a brand because I love the lippie stix. the Fem Rosa She Palette, the Dream St Palette and the list can go on and I cannot forget the beauty of the Yes Please palette. 🙂
Colourpop does domestic as well as international shipping. But I don’t place international orders, I always have to wait for my visit to US. Finally, this time I got the chance to get my hands on the beautiful Colourpop Lux Lipsticks. Yay! I placed a few orders and got five shades of Colourpop Lux Lipsticks in the shades that I would wear. And only you will understand my weakness for lipsticks. These beauties are available on the Colourpop Website. The Colourpop Lux lipsticks are available in variety of shades from nudes, reds blues, purples, mauve, browns you name it. I counted 44 shades on the website and they constantly keep adding new shades to the line. There is a shade of everyone. However, sometimes it is difficult to choose a shade but it is good that these are so affordable haha!
The packaging of the Colourpop Lux lipsticks is really pretty. I just love the rose gold tubes with stars on them. The quality feels luxurious and expensive. There is a sticker at the bottom of the tube with the shade name and the color that matches the lipstick inside. I love that when brands do that- it makes it so much easier to select a shade when we own a million lipsticks 😉
The formula of these lipsticks is just perfect. I knew I would love these lipsticks because Colourpop rarely disappoints. However, I am just blown away by these lipsticks. The formula is like dream come true. These are creamy, moisturizing, long wearing, great pigmentation as well as matte. Now you will agree that these are just dream come true kind of lipsticks, because these are the features we all look for in a good lipstick. These are very creamy and the pigmentation is rich that lasts a long time on the lips. They fade evenly and leave a nice even tint behind and feel moisturizing on the lips. And this reminds me of my L’Oreal Pro matte glosses and the Nars liquid lipsticks.
As you know from my last Colourpop Haul post that I got five shades of the Colourpop Lux lipsticks. Because these are the kind of shades that I prefer 🙂 And I believe these shades are just perfect for my medium complexion.
C’mon Sis Ghosted La Lady Angel City Liquid Courage
C’mon Sis – This is a rosy mauve pink shade. Great everyday nude color. Besides it has a satin finish, which also very is comfortable to wear. We get rich pigmentation in one swipe. It applies smoothly like dream, without tugging the lips. However, the texture feels a little dense, like we are wearing some thick lip balm. I like the name of this lipstick because it reminds me of my sister. The packaging of this lipstick is different as it was a collaboration with a Youtuber named Shayla. (Frankly I don’t know who she is, but when I searched for her I found her channel and she is very beautiful and talented.)
Ghosted – This is a beautiful medium plum berry shade with a slight hint of red undertone. The finish is cream and richly pigmented. One swipe gives rich color to the lips. This shade applies evenly and feels lightweight because of the creamy smooth consistency. This also feels very comfortable on the lips.
La Lady – Aha! A brown nude shade with some warmth to it. I just love these kind of warm nudes. It feels very creamy on the lips even though this one has a semi- matte finish.
Angel City – This is again a mauve plum berry shade with warm undertone. The red undertone is a little more brighter in comparison to Ghosted. I like shades with some red to it.
Liquid Courage – This is a darker rusty brick red shade in cream finish. The color payoff is fantastic and opaque in one swipe. Again a creamy and smooth formula that glides like butter, on the lips. The lasting power is great and feels hydrating and comfortable.
Overall, I am just loving these lipsticks a lot. These glide on smoothly and stays comfortable all day long. The pigmentation is great. Does not feel heavy or dry the lips. I would say the Colourpop lux lipsticks have everything that we need and desire in a lipstick. That too at a very affordable price. The lasting power of these lipsticks is great and fade evenly. I love the darker shades because they leave a light stain, which looks pretty. In short these lipsticks are just incredible. We can purchase these lipsticks from the Colourpop Website. Oh yes Kay. It is very difficult to get our hands on the limited edition collections. Actually I did not even try because I knew I would not be able to. These are always gone in minutes. They should have more kits so we can get them easily. However you should try the other lippies these are all amazing. 🙂
Gorgeous packaging! I love the detail of the little stars on the actual lipsticks too. The names are so creative too. I think the shade that I would enjoy the most is “C’mon sis” – at first I thought maybe “La lady” from your swatch but then I read that you said it’s more brown nude, which would be too dark for me I think.
