Pixi Glow Tonic Review

Hey lovelies! Pixi Glow Tonic took the beauty world by storm, since it was launched. I heard so much about this on YouTube and blogs, I had to try. It is a much hyped and loved beauty product that it was a challenge to get my hands on. Every time I visited Target, Pixi Glow tonic was out of stock. Finally, last time I was able to get it. It felt like mission accomplished.

Pixi Beauty is a cruelty free brand with variety of makeup and skincare products.  I have seen Pixi Beauty in Target. I got a few skincare products that I wanted to try. However, today I want to talk more about the Pixi Glow Tonic.

Pixi Glow Tonic

The formulation of the Pixi Glow Tonic is interesting. It is infused with ingredients that are beneficial to the skin. Aloe Vera that is known to have soothing, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, healing, skin lightening properties. Ginseng is know for its anti-aging benefits helps to firm and tighten the skin. Fructose, Glucose, Sucrose are the natural sugars that soften and moisturize the skin .

It also contains witch hazel and we all know it clears blemishes and acne marks. Urea is a natural but powerful exfoliant that helps dry itchy skin. Glycerin helps to moisturize the skin. 5% glycolic acid in the Pixi Glow Tonic to remove dead cells and improve the texture of the skin. It helps to lighten skin pigmentation like blemishes, age spots etc. It is also great for acne prone skin. Finally, there is no alcohol in Pixi Glow Tonic. It is important because alcohol mostly dries and irritates the skin.

I would say the formulation of Pixi Glow Tonic is almost magical. It is designed to treat a number of skin issues. Pixi Glow Tonic works to exfoliate, firm and tighten the skin. It removes dead skin cells and rejuvenates the skin.

The consistency of Pixi Glow Tonic is like water. You probably, will not be able to tell the difference if it is not for the scent. It smells like rose. It is mentioned on the website as well as on the packaging to use it either morning or night after cleansing and follow with serum or moisturizer. I use it as needed. I use it in the morning as well as at night.

Pixi Glow Tonic

For application it is mentioned to saturate a cotton pad and sweep across face and neck. Well when we use cotton pad it cleans the remaining grim or residue that is left on the surface of the skin. However, I find a lot of product is absorbed in the cotton pad. So at night I use cotton pad, but in the morning I just take some on my palm and pat it on my face, neck and decolletage. It absorbs quickly and does not feel drying, like other toners I have used in the past. The winner of 2017 Teen Vogue Acne Awards, Pixi Glow Tonic is very easy to incorporate in our skincare routine. I use it in the morning and at night after using my normal cleanser and follow up with serum or moisturizer.

Recently, I was lazy about my skincare and suffered some acne problem. The Celeteque Acne Solutions Cleansing Gel along with the Sephora Mud Mask  and my Origins Retexturizing Mask have been effective. Pixi Glow Tonic is helping me to keep my skin balanced. I have been using it for the past one month or so and see significant change in my skin. Well, it is impressive because my skin is in better condition now. The acne marks are lighter and fading.

I believe Pixi Glow Tonic definitely deserves the hype it is getting. This golden amber colored liquid is the best toner I have tried. However, I used to avoid toners earlier because it used to make my skin dry. Maybe because most of the toners contain alcohol. But Pixi Glow Tonic has changed my perception all together. This works well at exfoliating the skin, tone and condition the skin, leaving a better, healthier and brighter skin. I will keep using this toner always.

Pixi glow Tonic

I have one problem with Pixi Glow Tonic that it is pricey. The Pixi Glow Mud Mask is pricey as well but we need very little mask. However, I feel I am using up the glow tonic faster. I need to get backups when I visit Target again. I am happy that Pixi is available in Philippines, however I can never be sure if they have every product in stock. Most of the time I can never find what I want. Over all, this is a lovely toner that is both soothing and mild on the skin. Pixi Glow Tonic is an excellent toner for all skin types. Even the sensitive skin people can use it. The Pixi Glow Tonic is available in Target , on the Amazon Website as well as on the Pixi Beauty’s Website.

Have you tried the Pixi Glow Tonic or any of the Pixi Products? Which one is your favorite? Let me know.

Until next time stay bright and beautiful! 🙂

Yes I also want to try other products by Pixi. I love the glow mud mask as well as the toner. 🙂 thank you so much.

  • I was given a Pixi gift set for Christmas but I haven’t used any yet becuase I’m still using other products, haha. Like you, I’m not a fan of toners because I think they are drying but I’ve heard such good things about Pixi’s toner. Your review has convinced me too – I’m going to have to break open the gift box as soon as I finish my other Origins bits and bobs! Thank you, Via, great recommendation as always xx

This is my favourite toner ever too, it really helps at getting rid of dry patches for me. It’s a shame it’s hard for you to find, it’s pricey here too but you can often get it on offer around the Christmas sales or gift sets. Have you heard of the freedom version? It’s a dupe for this and costs around £4, it’s the one I’m currently using. They’re very similar so if you were struggling to get your hands on this, you could try ordering the freedom one x

I also wish this toner wasn’t so expensive! I’ve been trying out the Ordinary Glycolic and it is a little stronger. I’ve been using glycolic toners for 5-6 months now, but I have come to question whether they work for my skin since I am still having acne issues. I’m going to try the Thayer’s Toner, which gets really great reviews for a bit and see how it goes, since glycolic acid doesn’t work for everyone’s skin, I am told!

    • msvia says:

I have not tried anything from Ordinary yet, but Thayer’s Toner I feel is really nice. I have only used it a few times recently and it magically calms down my skin. I have not used it enough to form an opinion but I am liking it so far. 🙂
