Hello friends! Today I have another skincare item to talk about. I tried the Pixi Glow Mud Mask recently, because it was NOT out of stock in Target. Whenever I visited Target (during my few weeks of stay in Seattle) the Pixi shelf most of the time used to be empty.
Recently, I have been struggling with the acne on my chin area. There are a few spots that are annoying. I am trying my best to clear them out. I work hard to have the best skin possible. For this I keep experimenting with different face masks, creams and lotions that work for me. Recently I ran out of my favorite Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Mask that works wonders for my skin. Therefore, I am trying out some new ones in addition to the Pixi Glow Mud Mask.
Product Details on the Website – Stimulate, clarify, and brighten skin with this revitalizing mask. The mineral-rich treatment absorbs oil, draws out impurities, and fights breakouts while giving an energizing boost to the complexion. Kaolin and sea salt purify while ginseng and aloe vera balance.
I recently learned that Pixi is a UK based brand. The creator of the brand Petra Strand has 20+ years experience as a makeup artist and product developer. She is very passionate about skincare hence creates innovative formulation that are infused with botanicals and beneficial ingredients.
Pixi Glow Mud Mask contains some natural ingredients that work wonders on the skin. Aloe Barbadenis leaf juice, commonly known as aloe vera is well known for its soothing, healing and anti-inflammatory properties. The presence of this ingredient in the Pixi Glow Mud Mask will surely sooth the sensitive skin. It also calms down the blemishes on the irritated skin.
Kaolin clay is a milder clay yet very effective. We use this clay for caring, soothing and nourishing the skin. It helps in reducing the production of sebum. Kaolin clay is also has some calming properties. It also improves blood circulation to the skin.
Mediterranean Dead Sea Mud and sea silts rich in minerals have the power to pull out toxins, firm the skin, stimulate blood flow and reduce the pore size, while controlling the oil. The other moisturizing ingredients in the Pixi Glow Mud Mask are glycerine, Jojoba seed oil, Squalene etc. leave the skin moisturized even after washing off the mask.
The packaging of the Pixi Glow Mud Mask is a soft squeeze tube with a twist open cap. The tube is the signature mint green color of the brand. The best part is that the tube is sealed when we open which I really appreciate, this ensures that the product inside is not tampered. It is convenient to use as well as travel friendly. On the packaging as well as on the website it is mentioned that this mask should be used at PM.
The consistency of the mask inside is neither too thick nor too runny. As far as the texture of the Pixi Glow Mud Mask is concerned it is smooth and very creamy. There is no grittiness present as in it as I have seen in some clay masks like the Origins Rose Clay Mask and Sephora Mud Mask. It applies very smoothly. A little goes a long way with this product. We just need to apply a thin layer and leave it on for about 15 minutes. However, I noticed that it does not dry in 15 minutes. I leave it on for longer time.
After drying the Pixi Glow Mud Mask does not feel tight as much as the other clay masks like the Aztec Indian Healing Clay and Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Mask. It feels very comfortable like the L’Oreal Pure Clay masks that are my recent favorites. Pixi glow mud mask is easy to wash off after the mask has dried.
Overall, I am loving this mask, because it is very effective and has lighten the acne spots left behind. The skin feels clean and looks fresh and clam after using this mask. The clay in this mask helps to control the oil on my skin. My face does not feel super dry at all. The moisturizing ingredients present in the mask helps to maintain hydration and leave the skin looking healthy and plump. I don’t feel the need to moisturize later but I still do after using the Pixi Glow Tonic. The result of using the Pixi Glow Mud Mask is great. I will always try to keep a back up. This says a lot how much I am loving it as well as what a skincare and mask junkie I am! 🙂 You can purchase this mask from Pixi Website.
Have you tried this mask? What are your thoughts? Which other product you have tried by Pixi? Let me know in the comments. :-). Until next time stay bright and beautiful!

I tried everything just recently. I am also loving the cleanser as well as the glow tonic. Shireen you should try this mask it is mild and we need very little. But I totally agree the price should have been a little lower. 🙂
My skin would love this, I have combination to oily and I love mud and clay masks. I haven’t tried much from Pixi, only a few samples that I received in beauty subscriptions but I want to try more soon!!

This mask sounds very good! I always have to be careful with charcoal masks so as they don’t make my skin dry after I use them! Great review! xx
Absolutely Huda I have oily skin and I can use the clay and charcoal mask almost every single day. But this one is milder and since you have dry skin you will also like it. Give it a try. 🙂

Thanks a lot Katya. Glad you liked. 🙂
I was given a Pixi gift set for Christmas, which I have yet to break into (!) because I’m still running down my Origins skin care products. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t open new products before the old ones were empty but after reading your review I’m looking forward to trying my Pixi box! xx
