Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask Review

Hey lovelies! Today I have Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask, to talk about. The cruelty-free skincare brand Peter Thomas Roth is well known for their different face masks. I have already spoken about the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. and also using the 24k Gold Mask. But today, I want to share my thoughts about their Rose Stem Cell Mask, which I got in a mini trial set. These trial sets are very cost effective, I suggest you should try. It is always available during the holiday times when the Sephora Sales are on.

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask

According to the brand, the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask is a bio-repair gel mask. A face mask that will minimize signs of aging, hydrate and “repair” the skin with its breakthrough stem cell technology. That sounds extremely modern and 21st Century-ish.

Stem cell technology is a very fascinating area in medical research (which is in progress). As far as I know stem cells are cells that multiply endlessly within the same type of organism. For example a plant cell will work within that particular plant. An animal cell will work for that particular animal and not on plant or human. In this case the rose stem cell will help repair the rose plant and not human skin. (Pleeeease correct me if I am wrong)

Besides, when these delicate plant cells are extracted and added to skincare creams and face masks, these are already dead. However, they still maintain their anti-oxidant properties that help the skin defend against environmental aggressors, making it look younger. But a plant stem cell cannot influence human skin cells. It is way too early. However, I wish it was! I would be young forever (dreaming). So, I will keep the “Stem Cell” thing aside and share my thoughts about this mask. 🙂

The packaging of the mini Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask is a small simple plastic container. But, it looks like a glass jar with a screw on lid. All the details about the product is on the packaging. However, the stopper of this packaging is also loose, like the one on Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. I hope it is better on the bigger full size products.

The consistency of the Rose Stem Cell Mask is thick. It also has a light pink hue to the jelly like texture. It looks pretty. And has a very pleasing rose scent. The formula is a blend of five rose plant stem cells :-). Namely Desert rose, Damas rose, Pale rose, Rose Commiphora and White rose. All these are further blended in a gel formula along with four other rose based ingredients like rosa canina, rosa damascena, rose water and rose hip oil. ( I thought there is only one rose in various colors). 🙂 All these rose based ingredients have some skin loving properties like anti-aging, hydrating, improve the look of skin, presence of Vitamin A & C in rose hip oil, which work wonders in restoring the skin’s youthfulness and radiance.

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask

When we apply the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask on the skin, it feels incredibly cooling and soothing. The sensation is very pleasant, along with the rose scent. However, we can increase the cooling effect by refrigerating the mask and then applying. The cooling sensation starts to dissipate, after sometime as the mask starts to dry. After it is fully dry, it feels a teeny bit tacky, like my Laneige sleeping mask as well as the Laneige firming mask. After 15-20 mins, I wash away the mask and my skin feels smooth, plump and super hydrated.

I have also used the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask as sleeping mask, a few times. For that, I apply a thin layer, and go to bed. The next morning, my skin looks brighter, hydrated and radiant. I have been using it as a sleeping mask for a couple of weeks. The texture of my skin has improved and looks more soft and moisturized and refined. However, unlike the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, where we see instant results, the Rose Stem Cell Mask results are slower, but definitely there.

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask

Overall, I love the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask, for the light texture and the pleasing scent. It feels like nothing on the skin, but there is a teeny bit of tackiness. I love how my skin is bright, soft, smooth, pores are tighter and complexion is almost clear. I keep trying everything, to have the best skin. Hehehe. I will keep using this mask, but will have the mini size because a little goes a long way. And there are so many hydrating face masks in my skincare stash that I need to use. Besides, it will be great if you travel a lot or on long flights, when our skin needs some hydration. Have you tried any of Peter Thomas Roth Face Masks? Which one is your favorite?

Until next time stay healthy, bright and beautiful! 🙂
