Hey everyone! Today I have a new foundation to talk about. This was released recently. I am talking about the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation. I got the shade Desert Beige. A perfect match for my medium skin tone. Currently there are a couple of foundations that I am liking, one is the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation and Wet n Wild Photofocus foundation. But, today I want to talk about the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation, which is said to be the new skin perfecting foundation.

The moment Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation released, everyone was raving about it on social media and YouTube. I wanted to try this foundation. It was always sold out at the drugstores, so I purchased mine from Amazon. There are 20 shades available with warm, neutral and cool undertones, which is great. It is a little difficult to select the shade online, but I got mine in the shade Desert Beige. This turned out to be a pretty good match for my skin tone. It weighs 1oz for just $5.99 which is absolutely amazing.
The packaging is super cute and compact. It comes in a small glass bottle. There is a spatula attached to the lid which I personally think is interesting and less messy. ( At least its better than pouring the foundation directly on your palms and then applying). However, it would be better if it came in a soft squeeze tube or with a pump just for the hygiene purpose. But then it would also increase the cost. So I am happy with the packaging.
The formula of the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation is thin and smooth. It blends seamlessly and gives a natural finish. This is a medium to full coverage foundation. It gives the most beautiful and glowing look to the skin. I like sheer to medium coverage and this foundation is perfect for that. Due to it’s thin consistency it also feels moisturizing. While applying it does not dry away quickly, so we have enough time to blend well. The finish is mostly satin-matte, however it is more on the matte side. I set it with my Laura Mercier Loose Setting powder and sometimes with my Coty Airspun Loose Powder. It not only looks perfect throughout the day, but also feels light weight.
Blended into the skin.
Overall, I am loving the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation for the light weight feel that it gives. It is amazing that it lasts pretty well on my oily skin. This foundation does break a little around my nose as my T- zone is super oily. However, I like how it evens out and brightens my complexion. Due to the light adjusting complex, present in this foundation, it also looks flawless in photos. I did take a few pictures in different lighting situations, during day time and night time with my mobile. There is no flash back and it made me look flawless and matte, which is always needed. In this “perfect picture” world of Instagram, YouTube I will say it helps to get nice pictures which I am happy about. It feels lightweight and looks natural. This reminds me of my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders which has similar technology.
However, I have one concern, and that it smells like some paint. I can deal with the smell as the foundation is really worth it. I would rather say this is “my skin but better” kind of foundation. A foundation that costs just $5 is worth a try and Wet n Wild is a brand that does not disappoint. 🙂 Overall, the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation has become one of my favorites at the drugstore and it is the most affordable too.
