Physicians Formula Butter Eyeshadow Palette – Tropical Days Review

Hi! While browsing Amazon’s website for some tops. I came across the new Physicians Formula Butter eyeshadow palette in Tropical Days. I loved the color selection and I have not tried much by the brand. Besides, I have not seen bigger palettes by Physicians Formula. So I thought of getting it. I love warm toned palettes and this one looked interesting.

It’s been a while that I featured Physicians Formula on my blog. The last post was on the Happy Booster Blush. Physicians Formula released the Eyeshadow palettte during the Spring 2019. There are two palettes in this line Tropical Days and Sultry Nights. But, today I want to talk about the Physicians Formula eyeshadow palettes Tropical Days. I could include both the palettes but this post will become too long.

Product Description – The ultimate must-have eyeshadow palettes. Featuring 12 universally flattering shades to take you from Tropical Days to Sultry Nights. Incredibly soft and ultra-creamy texture can be applied wet or dry. Ultra-luxurious powders features our exclusive Butter Blend.

The packaging of the Physicians Formula Butter Eyeshadow palette is simple with some holographic effect. The lid is decorated with palm tree images which looks pretty. The lid is also clear so we can see the shadows. Which also means there is no mirror in this palette. Since the palette is big, I like it when there is a nice mirror. The names of the shades are printed at the back of the eye shadow palette. There is a step by step tutorial to create three looks for beginners, which I like. There is a tropical coconut scent to the palette.

Inside there are 12 shadows that are placed strategically into three quads. It is easy to use for the beginners. But, we can always mix and match the shades according to our liking. The first quad is light for everyday looks. I love the second and the third quad. The warm and cool tones with shimmer shadows are just beautiful. This palette comes with the sponge applicator. This palette is perfect for day as well as night.

Barefoot in Brazil – This is a light warm nude shade perfect for the overall lip color. It almost blends with my skin tone. Helps to even out the color on my lid. It has a matte finish

White Sands – As the name suggests it is bright white shade and has a matte finish. This shade felt a little dry.

Coastal Chic – This is a light nude with a slight hint of brown. It has a matte finish.

Tan Lines – A medium tone warm bronzy brown. It has a nice shimmer finish. It is a pretty shade.

Sightseeing – A light rose gold shade. It has a shimmer finish.

Heat Wave – A warm brick red color in matte finish. It is beautiful and reminds of fall.

Sand Dunes – Sand Dunes is another warm tone brown in matte finish.

Coco Loco – A dark cool tone brown shade in semi matte finish. Perfect for lining the eyes.

Ready for Rio – This is another rose gold shade, however the finish is metallic. I’d say sparkling rose gold color. It has a chunky texture which is a little difficult to work with.

Pier Pressure – A beautiful purple with a hint of grey. It is sheer but we can build the color. I love the shimmer finish of this shadow.

Rolling Tides – A beautiful teal blue in shimmer finish. It swatches a little patchy but works well on the eyes.

Island Hopping – A light dusty nude grey. It has a satin matte finish.

Overall, Physicians Formula Butter Eyeshadow palette in Tropical days is a beautiful palette at the drugstore. Even though they have labeled this as a day palette, it does have the potential to go deeper and great for night time as well. The formula is creamy and soft. There are a couple shades that felt a little dry and some shimmers that look chunkier in the palette but are not that intense. But these work really well. The mattes are very creamy and some of the shimmers work well when we use our fingers to apply them. Overall, I am happy with the palette. Have you tried the Butter line by Physicians Formula?
