New Snailwhite Glow Potion AHA-BHA Toner Review

Hi! I purchased the popular Snailwhite glow potion AHA-BHA Toner. I recently ran out of my Pixi glow tonic and needed a new toner. When I saw the new Snailwhite glow potion, the AHA-BHA toner that is also alcohol free, it intrigued me. Besides Snailwhite is a popular brand in Asia. I have tried multiple products and really love them. When I saw the Snailwhite glow potion AHA-BHA toner, I instantly picked it.

Product Description

A multi-tasking toner which exfoliates dead skin cells by using a powerful but gentle blend of ingredients to reveal miraculously glowing skin.

Fresh, plump and miraculously glowing skin – fully prepped for the next steps of skincare.

This highly-concentrated, exfoliating toner purifies the skin by gently removing deep-seated impurities. AHA and BHA clear away dead skin cells and visibly tighten pores while Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin pack in moisture for plump and hydrated skin. Bright and healthy skin is revealed with the help of Niacinamide and Ginseng. Witch Hazel and Swiss Alpine Willowherb soothe and balance skin to prepare it for the next steps of skincare.

About Toners

The second step in skincare routine is toning. Toners are basically used to restore the pH Balance of the skin after cleansing. There are three types of toners available. Hydrating toners, exfoliating toners and treatment toners. Now it is up to your skin condition, which toner you need to use. Hydrating toners are more gentle, that contain hyaluronic acid and glycerin. It helps to keep the skin hydrated. Exfoliating toners on the other hand get rid of dead skin cells, dullness and roughness on the skin. Exfoliating toners also contain some type of AHAs and BHAs that help in overall health of the skin. Treatment toners target specific skin problems, because they contain potent active ingredients. For example salicylic acid for acne, Vitamin C for brightening the skin etc.

Snailwhite glow potion AHA-BHA toner is a multi tasking, alcohol-free toner. The toner is a mix of powerful but gentle ingredients to reveal clear, brighter and radiant looking skin. It claims to do it all like exfoliate, tone, brighten and hydrate at the same time. It also claims to target skin concerns like large pores, dull skin, acne etc. After reading this, who wouldn’t want to try. Besides, the AHAs and BHAs are always what I am looking for in my skincare.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)

In simple words, Alpha Hydroxy Acids are water soluble acids. These AHAs are plant based naturally occurring acids. AHAs are derived from sugar cane, milk, fruits etc. Skincare products with AHAs mainly focus of skin’s natural regeneration process. They work as chemical exfoliators in a gentle way, while also helping skin retain it’s moisture. In short, products containing AHAs exfoliate or shed the surface skin. However, the extent of exfoliation depends on the concentration and type of the AHA. It benefits both the outer layer as well as the deeper layers of the skin. Alpha Hydroxy Acids work best in diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, deep cleansing the pores, improving the texture and tone of the skin. Using AHAs in skincare in general will improve the overall health and condition of the skin from within.

Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs)

Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) are naturally derived from plants, but these are oil soluble. So BHAs are often preferred for combination to oily acne prone skin. It works by going deep into the hair follicles to get rid of dead skin cells and dry excess oil that clog the pores. BHAs are primarily used to treat different types of acne, blemishes, large pores, and sun damage. Due to the skin calming properties of Beta Hydroxy Acids, they are great for sensitive skin. However, when overused both AHA and BHA have a peeling effect and tend to dry out the skin. It is best to use these with caution, first a couple times a week. I also want to mention that both AHA and BHA are exfoliants, effective in reducing appearance of wrinkles, improving the overall texture of the skin. But BHAs are less irritating in comparison to AHAs.

The Packaging

The packaging of the Snailwhite glow potion AHA-BHA toner is lovely peach colored plastic bottle with screw on lid. It is very similar to most toner packaging but especially reminds me or Pixi Glow Tonic. Even though it does not have a pump or a pipette, you can still easily control the amount of product that could be dispensed. The bottle looks pretty and is easy to travel with.

New Snailwhite Glow Potion AHA-BHA Toner Review

The consistency of the Snailwhite glow potion AHA-BHA toner is like water, similar to the other toners that I have tried. Besides being translucent and water like, it has a sweet candy like scent to it. But, it is not over powering and dissipates after sometime. It feels refreshing to use this toner. I take a few drops on my palm and pat it on my face. By doing this, I feel I don’t waste extra product when using a cotton pad. It does not have any tingling after application, which also says that it is gentle to use every day. I still want to warn people with sensitive skin to use this with caution due to the mix of hydroxy acids.

New Snailwhite Glow Potion AHA-BHA Toner Review

I have been using this toner for a couple weeks now and I see improvement in the overall condition of my skin. My skin as well as my pores feel cleaner and free of blackheads, the texture feels smoother and brighter. After cleansing and using this toner my skin does not feel dry. Besides it controls the little acne which try to drop by sometimes. For a couple of times I tried to use only the toner during the day time to see if it affects differently, but it did not. Having oily skin, if I don’t take care my pores, they look enlarged. But using this toner on its own seems to work well for me, as my pores look smaller and less oilier.

Overall, I am loving the Snailwhite glow potion AHA-BHA toner. Using regularly for two weeks, my skin feels healthy and nice. I love it for the effectiveness and affordability. It is less pricy and works perfectly. I highly recommend trying it as it works gently but effectively. Besides it is less expensive. I purchased mine from super market but is is also available on SnailWhite Website, Lazada Philippines website. (Not affiliate) Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. I really appreciate it.

Until next time stay safe and beautiful! 🙂
