Hi! Yessss! I have the Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette to talk about. As I have mentioned earlier, Milani is one of my favorite cruelty free drugstore brand. I love everything about this brand. And they keep adding new products like every single day. The Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow palette is one of the best and also most expensive eyeshadow palette, by the brand. You remember the Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow palettes in shades Must Have Naturals, Earthy Elements and Plum Basics, that I have already spoken about? Those are very cheap and also great quality. Milani rarely disappoints.
Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette was released along with Milani Most Loved Mattes Eyeshadow Palette. But, I got the Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette for it included beautiful shimmers. Besides, I just recently learned that it is a total dupe type palette for Viseart Golden Hour. The whole theme of both the palettes is similar. But we are getting three more shades in the Bold Obsessions Palette. Anyway, I just got it because I loved it. 🙂
Product Description – Go bold or go subtle with the Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette. Complete with an eye-catching collection of 12 high pigment matte and metallic eyeshadows, this palette features universal neutrals, and rich jewel-tones designed with a velvet-like feel for flawless blending, and endless makeup looks.
The packaging is very impressive, beautiful and luxe. I have always loved the Milani packaging. The gold and black lacquered compact is gorgeous.
I love that gold is always the part of Milani packaging. The palette feels substantial and has a snap closure. The names of the shadows are listed on the back of the palette. However, like other palettes, it does not have the tutorial instructions. The whole look of the palette gives immediate luxe vibes, without the hefty price tag. For the price of $20 it is beautiful. What do you say? But, I feel Milani is upping the price tag for being a drugstore brand. Please, Milani, keep it low.
I really love the size of the palette. Very handy and user friendly. With a nice mirror inside, it is very travel friendly. I prefer smaller palettes. But now I am confused about which palette I should take with me for my vacation. Remember my Colourpop MAR Palette, that is also travel friendly and the Huda Beauty Warm and Mauve Obsessions are so compact and lovely. 😉
The Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette contains 12 shadows. A mix of gorgeous mattes, shimmers and really metallic shades. The shades are vertically organized, into coordinating columns of colors. It is basically divided into three looks Sunrise, Sunset and Nightfall. These three columns are like neutral, warm and cool. This makes this palette diverse and versatile. But it is also easy to use the palette if you are less confident in picking colors, like me. 🙂
The formula of the Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow palette is absolutely lovely. I have always loved Milani eye shadows because they are always so soft and silky. But, they absolutely killed it with the shimmer shadows in this palette. Each and every eyeshadow in this palette is absolutely perfect. They are soft, absolutely creamy, blend like a dream and are just fantastic. I have swatched the shadows horizontally. However, I wish I had done it column wise.
Can’t Pink Straight – It is a muted rosy pink with some warmth to it. This shadow has matte finish.
Sweet As Honey – A light warm tone brown. This is also matte finish.
Bare In Mind – A warm tone creamy beige. This one has a beautiful satin finish.
Sands of Time – A warm beige color in metallic finish.
Gold-Getter – A beautiful shining warm gold shadow that has a sparkling metallic finish. I love this shade.
Slate All Day – This is a grayish taupe shade with slight warmth to it. This one also has a smooth satin finish.
Suede Side To Side – Beautiful warm tone brown and has a satin finish.
Blazing Hot – Warm copper color that has a frosty satin finish. It looks coppery in the palette but in the swatch it has a more pink tone to it.
Smoke Signals – Dark dark cool tone grey, that looks almost black. This one also has a satin finish. Very smooth and creamy.
Brunettes Have Fun – A dark taupe color in matte finish.
Red Between The Lines – A wine tone warm red that has a satin matte finish. Very pretty shade.
Little Black Dress – A perfect black shade that also has a matte finish. Great for lining the eyes.
Overall, I have to say Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette is does-it-all palette for me and deserves the name Bold Obsessions. All the shades across the palette have an excellent and consistent formula. They all have a soft and silky texture with great pigmentation. But, I have a soft spot for shimmery metallic shades in this palette, which also have a very creamy and soft texture. In fact, the shimmers are even softer in texture and intensely pigmented. Needless to say Milani has exceeded my expectations with this palette and $20 is a reasonable price too. I like how much attention they have paid to the beauty of the packaging and the quality of the shadows. I also like the names of the shadows. Hehe.
Have you tried eyeshadows from Milani? What do you think? I purchased my palette from Milani Website for $19.99. But it is also available on Amazon and it is cheaper on Amazon. 🙂

I think you should. It is just gorgeous. Thank you so much 🙂
These shadows look beautifully pigmented and they sound dreamy. I don’t tend to wear eyeshadow because it ends up in my crease by mid-morning, but if I did, I’d go for a shade like the Suede Side To Side, that looks like a lovely neutral with a touch of shimmer. Gorgeous photos as always, Via, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Lisa x
Oooh what a cute little palette! Like you say, it is the perfect size for travel! I love that there is a nice range of pretty colours, my favourites are Blazing Hot and Red Between The Lines.
