Dolce & Gabbana The One EDT for Women Review

Hi there! Presenting Dolce & Gabbana The One EDT for women. Imagine me saying it loud like in ads. 🙂 Okay never mind heheh. Fragrances are a weakness of every woman, I guess. If not, you would not be reading this post. 🙂 I love fragrances and keep trying new ones, because life is short and there is so much to try. Even though perfumes are a personal preference, it is always a great gift idea.

Dolce & Gabbana is one of my favorite brands for perfumes. I have used a few in the past. Thanks to hubby darling for introducing me to yet another luxurious brand. When you are shopping for fragrances, you tend to like a few and keep going back to them, thinking this is, the one. Same thing happened to me while I was browsing for fragrance at the airport (my favorite thing to do at the airport btw). There were a few to which I kept going back. Dolce & Gabbana The One EDT for women is one of them. I like strong, fruity, floral and spicy crisp scents. They just smell so good and last a long time. I always prefer EDP to EDT but I tend to forget and purchase what I like. :D.

Product Description – The One Eau de Toilette is an enchanting, sensual and feminine scent, with a twist of freshness that magnifies the key note of Madonna Lily. More vibrantly alive than ever, the floral fragrance was captured in all its nuances by the perfumer Michel Girard, to create a new floral addiction and exalts its sensuality.

Notes :-

Top notes : Madonna Lily, Italian Bergamot, mandarin essences, lychee and white peach.

Heart notes : Ylang moheli, Orange blossom and honey.

Base notes : Vanilla, vetiver and musk.

The packaging of Dolce & Gabbana The One EDT for women is elegant. I like the sleek, squarish and slender look of the bottle. Gold accents are always luxurious looking. The reflective golden cap of same shape and size is sexy yet classy and pretty. The bottle is similar to the D & G The One EDP but taller and elegant looking. It attracts attention. The whole golden look of the bottle as well as the outer packaging is a perfect example of luxury. It is a perfect gift for The One in your life. It also resembles my other bottle with golden cap.

When we first spray this fragrance we get a very stingy and strong scent, but that is pretty common with stronger fragrances. However, it calms down rather quickly. We get that floral scent with a hint of citrus and vanilla. It is very delightful. Later it transitions into creamy floral more like a tropical floral bouquet. A hint of vanilla adds a little sweetness to it, which is just gorgeous and pleasant.

The dry down is still linear, a little sweet to me and still smell the white floral. It is very silky and sexy. I feel it changes in between from floral to sweet. However, at the end of the day it is more of a sweet scent. A few notes are new to me, so it is a bit difficult to describe. But I smell the muskiness in here, all along.

Overall, it is a very pleasing fragrance to me. Reminds me vaguely of Dior J’dore. It is fresh and warm at the same time. The longevity and silage is impressive and I love it. It is very dynamic but not overpowering. Like my Valentino Donna and even Ellie Saab. However, the latter are a little more stronger. I love that Dolce & Gabbana The One, is a very balanced mix of notes, that is very well crafted. It is still very sexy and enchanting with a twist of freshness. Now I noticed that I love fragrances that have a few similar notes. 🙂

I know fragrances are personal preference, maybe what I like you may not but I highly recommend checking this one out. I believe this is a versatile fragrance that can be worn at anytime of the day and is also appropriate for all season. But I rarely follow any “rules” I wear whatever fragrance I feel like at that moment. The name Dolce & Gabbana The One is perfect for this fragrance.
