Beauty Favorites For June 2020

Hi! Let me share some beauty favorites for June 2020. It’s been a while I did my favorites post. For the past three months, I have hardly been using any makeup. Staying at home is all about bare face but loads of skincare. Since the lock-down began the first month was all laziness. Just cooking, eating, sleeping, reading, doing some coloring and watching some shows on Netflix and Amazon. But skincare got some serious attention. Sometimes I used to feel lazy about skincare but always enjoyed using a good face mask. However, for the past two months I have been religiously trying to use up all my hoarded skincare products. And I am also addicted to taking care of my skin. So here are some of my beauty favorites for June 2020.

Thayer’s Witch Hazel Rose Toner – I have almost finished a big bottle of this toner. And am so glad it is easily available here in Philippines. First I used to get it from Amazon during my US trips. It is a fabulous toner. I highly recommend trying it if you have acne or oily skin. It is so calming and cooling and also helps in preventing breakouts. I don’t get too many acne spots but once in a while I get a couple.

Estee Lauder Perfectionist CP+R Lifting/Firming Serum – I am loving this serum. It instantly smooths out fine lines and wrinkles. It has significantly improved the texture and fine wrinkles on my skin. Especially near the eyes. My skin feels and looks better.

Nivea Night White Body Moisturizer – This is my go to body moisturizer currently. It leaves my skin softer, smoother and more hydrated. I use it after shower in the morning and before going to bed. It is also very affordable and Nivea is one of my favorite and a classic brand.

Human Nature Pollution Defense Mask – Using clay masks once or twice a week is important for my skin. This is my current favorite clay mask that helps to deep clean and lift away impurities. It also helps to keep a check on acne and pimples. Besides it is very affordable and easily available at the super markets and drugstores.

Fresh Black Tea Firming sleeping mask – If you need give your skin some TLC this is one of my most favorite mask to use before going to bed. I wake up with a radiant, nourished, hydrated and firmer looking skin. I will do a detail review of this mask. It is one of the best firming treatment that I have tried. IT is available at Sephora.

As for makeup, I hardly used anything. However, I have been using lot of lip glosses while at home. It makes my lips look plump and hydrated. I also have a few lip balms to share with you. Even though I am more of a lipstick person, I have some lovely lip glosses too. I have not used them in a while and the lock down time was the best to use and make space for new ones.

Sugar lip balm – One of my favorites. It is so creamy and hydrating. It will heal your lips if you are suffering from dry peeling and painful lips.

Laneige lip mask – This has also become one of my favorite lips masks for the night time. It keeps my lips well nourished and healthy. I highly recommend trying this lip mask. It is available on Amazon.

Lip glosses I am loving for the past couple of months.

Buxom Lip glosses are one of my all time favorites. I love the vanilla minty scent and the cooling tingling feel when I am wearing these.

Bourjois 3D Effect shine lip glosses are beautiful and makes my lips look fuller and juicy.

Bourjois Exclucif is a gloss that works with your body pH. I love the pink shade it gives to my lips.

Essence Triple XXXL Shine lip glosses are fabulous for the price. They make your lips plump and juicy.

NYX Butter glosses are also my all time favorite at the drugstore. These are not sticky or goopy.

Fenty gloss bomb is my new favorite. The super hydrating formula is lovely and very comfortable on the lips. I need to get a few more shades. I love that it is not sticky.

On the side note, during the lock down we have had a lot of time in hand to watch some interesting show on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. I will just mention the names of some recent ones, if you fancy watching some thrilling crime series as well as some comedies. Here are some of my favorites that I keep suggesting everyone in my family to watch.

Netflix – Money Heist, Line of Duty, Peaky Blinders, Homeland, Ozarks, Queen of the South, The Sinner, Brooklyn 99, Big Bang Theory.

Amazon Prime Video – The Man In The High Castle, Jack Ryan, Sneaky Pete, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Undone, The Expanse, Homecoming. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you start your free trial for a month and then decide whether you want to continue.

Overall, these are some of my beauty favorites for June 2020. I just can’t believe it is July 2020 already. I hope you have the best month of July. Thank you very much.
