Human Nature Pollution Defense Mask Review

Yeah! Face mask again! I can’t stop myself from purchasing and trying new ones. Today, I have Human Nature Pollution Defense Mask that I picked up at my grocery store a few weeks back. This is another clay based mask that I wanted to slather over my oily acne prone face, to help control oil and acne breakouts. I have very oily skin and love using clay masks. This is the first time I am trying a pollution defense face mask.

Pollution – As much as it is affecting our environment, it is also having adverse effects on our skin. Pollution can cause accelerated aging, uneven skin tone, dark spots and even skin cancer. These microscopic specs of smoke, dust, fumes, dirt and grime does not only sit on the skin, but it infiltrates deeper causing various skin issues. Such as inflammation, acne, black heads, uneven skin tone, dark spots leading to dull looking complexion. Besides, dull complexion is also caused by stress, lack of sleep and also due to lack of skincare. These environmental elements along with constant exposure to the sun can definitely create skin issues. Is this enough to motivate you to start taking care of your skin? The last statement is pointed towards my sister, in case she happens to read my post which I doubt. 🙂

Human Nature Pollution Defense Mask Review

The packaging of the Human Nature Pollution Defense mask is a simple white squeeze tube, which has a matte finish. All the details about the product are printed on the tube. It is a nice packaging for a face mask. It keeps the product safe and is also travel friendly. The texture and consistency of the mask is very smooth, creamy and buttery. Just like the Pixi Glow mask and my recent Vadi Herbals clay mask. It has a herbal kind of scent, a mix of oil and clay. It reminds me of my L’Oreal clay masks as well as the mud masks that I have been using for a while.

The main ingredients in this clay based mask is obviously a blend of Kaolin and Bentonite clay that help to absorb excess oil, dirt and impurities. It is perfect for oily and acne prone skin. Along with that Kaolin clay helps to firm the skin and eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains nutrients that ensure the product stays fresh for longer time. The activated bamboo charcoal is infused with oxygen which helps to absorb impurities and sebum from the skin. Eventually it cleans and detoxifies deeply for a visibly brighter complexion.

Glycerin is a natural moisturizer that prevents dehydration. It also helps to balance the water level. However it may cause some irritation to very sensitive skin. Moringa Seed Oil and Aloe Vera work to keep the skin moisturized. The anti aging properties helps to maintain skin health and improve our complexion. They also work best to counterfeit the ill effects of pollution. Vitamin E rejuvenates the skin, improves the skin elasticity and makes it supple and soft. It is an excellent cleansing agent and purifies the skin from deep within while maintaining the skin’s oil balance. It helps to reduce scars, fight wrinkles, helps reduce hyper-pigmentation. Vitamin E also works as an immune booster.

Application

I apply a decent amount on my face and leave it on to dry for approximately 15-20 minutes. The creamy texture feels nice. My skin felt the usual tightness when the mask begins to dry. However, I did not feel any stinging. It is similar to the Aztec Indian Healing clay but gentler. I feels like the mask is drawing out all the impurities. After the mask has dried, I wash it off with running water. It not only makes my skin feel clean and refreshed but also soft, smooth and bright. After using for a couple weeks it helped to keep my acne under control and made my skin smoother. Besides, the clay masks I love using the Celeteque Acne Solutions cleansing gel, which as become my favorite face cleanser.

However, I would suggest not keeping this mask on for longer time. It may dry the skin. One day I took a nap after applying this mask and after washing my skin felt dry. But, I used a good moisturizer and it was fine. Besides I always use a moisturizer after using clay masks. If you have dry skin I highly recommend using a nice moisturizer after washing off the mask. There is some serum available in this line, which I would love to try.

Overall, I am very happy to discover the Human Nature Pollution Defense Mask. Because it is so effective and very inexpensive. I am always for affordable skincare. I highly recommend trying this face mask. It is great for getting rid of all the dirt and pollution of the day. You will feel that your skin absolutely clean and smooth. I am loving this mask. And will keep using it as I have very oily skin. Clay masks are like my skin saviour. It is available at all drugstores as well as some super markets. Online you can find this mask at Human Nature Website. I hope this post was helpful to you. Have you tried anything by this brand? What is your favorite? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time stay healthy, bright and beautiful! 🙂
