Hi! Milani Cosmetics, recently added two new shades to their already existing Milani baked blush line. This cruelty free vegan drugstore brand is constantly releasing new and exciting products all the time. You just can’t beat their amazingly high quality at the drugstore price. Besides, their packaging is always beautiful. Their eye shadow palettes, the rose blushes, I have also spoken about their beautiful face powders. I just love their color statement lipsticks too. But, today I want to share my thoughts on Milani baked blush, which I have been wanting to do for the longest time. Of course, not the new shades, because I still don’t have them, until July. But the three popular shades that I already own. 🙂
Product Description – Richly pigmented and highly buildable, the beautiful matte and shimmery shades of Baked Blush are the perfect cheeky pop of color for every skin tone. Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, the warm finish adds a radiance that is the very essence of beauty. Shape, contour and highlight your best features.
The packaging of Milani baked blush is all golden and luxurious looking. Anything golden I love it. 🙂 The plastic compact is nice and good quality with a see through top, so you can see the color clearly. The top of the compact is shiny while the bottom is part has a matte finish. when we open the compact, it has two compartments. The top one has the beautiful blush sitting and as we lift it up, there is the space for the flat blush brush with a small mirror. The brush is not that good, but it is there in case we need it. Well! the packaging is very similar to the Physicsians Formula Heart blush where we have the same double compartment style.
The formula of Milani baked blush different from the regular powder blushes. Apparently, these blushes are baked in sun on Italian terracotta tiles. Baking cosmetics, is actually a baking technique that makeup companies use to dry or powder-ize the cream product. That is the reason we can use baked products with wet as well as dry brushes. However, I do not use a wet brush on these blushes, as these are so pigmented. 🙂
Because baked powders start as cream they are generally soft, smooth and creamy in texture. These are also pretty pigmented as my research says. Please correct me if I am wrong. Baked blushes just like other baked bronzers has a luminous finish. I don’t know why but, I have seen and used some baked products that have the extra iridescence, sheen and glow them. This reminds me of my Bourjois baked blushes that also have a luminous finish. The great thing about these baked blushes is that they are unique in their own way. No two blushes look similar in their marbleized pattern.
The Milani baked blush is finely milled. These apply beautifully and blend out like dream. They give that soft focused glowing look to the cheeks. The pigmentation is great. These can look as natural or intense as you wish. The three shades that I have to share are 02 Rose D’Oro, 03 Berry Amore and 05 Luminoso.
02 Rose D’Oro – A warm pink with some red undertones which makes it like a terracotta-ish shade with some heavy amount of shimmer. But, don’t be scared as the the shimmers are less visible when we blend it on the cheeks. This shade gives that similar look, when we are out in the sun for long time and get that reddish tan look. However, if you have some texture issues like large pores, or wrinkles or even acne, I’d suggest go for another shade that is matte or less sparkly. But, if you really love the shade, like I do, you will need a nice matte and pore-less primer to make everything smooth and flawless. 🙂
03 Berry Amore – One of the popular shades in the line. It is a rose gold kind of shade. A combination of rosy mauve pink and warm gold, makes it more natural looking. However, this one also has some golden shimmers to it.
05 Luminoso – Luminoso is a warm toned orange blush. The perfect NARS Orgasm dupe is a light medium peach with warm undertones and a nice luminous sheen. Luminoso has less amount of shimmer in comparison to Rose D’Oro and Berry Amore. This is one of the best selling and popular blush in the line. I have briefly spoken about Luminoso in my favorite drugstore blushes post.
Overall, I absolutely adore these Milani Baked blushes and highly recommend trying them out, if you have not. The quality of these blushes is brilliant for the price. If you desire a flush of color and glowing cheeks these blushes are for you. I am looking forward to hauling a few more shades, specifically Red Vino and the newest ones 14 Petal Primavera and 15 Sunset Passione to my collection. The Milani baked blush is available on Milani website. However, I purchased these from Amazon, because it is much easier for me to buy from Amazon along with other groceries hehehe.
Have you tried the Milani baked blush? What are your thoughts? Which is your current favorite blush? Let me know in the comments. 🙂
Until next time take care and stay bright and beautiful my friends! 🙂

These are pretty and so inexpensive. Thanks a lot my dear. 🙂
These look so pretty, Via, and they sound wonderful too. MIlani is not a brand I’m familiar with (I don’t think you can get it in the UK) but I guess Bourjois is their closest equivalent. Berry Amore is probably my favourite shade but they’re all lovely! x
