Hey everyone! Wishing you all a very happy new year! Today I have the very beautiful Too Faced Natural Face Palette to talk about. I know I am so late with this review, but I have to say I am not lucky to get my hands on makeup products that are newly released.
Well! When Too Faced released their It Comes Naturally Spring 2018 Collection, this palette stood out to me. I was contemplating between the Too Faced Natural Eyes eye shadow palette and the natural face palette. I got the face palette because I don’t own any face palettes. Okay, I have the Elf face palette but I have never tried anything from Too Faced. So I wanted to try something by this brand. Besides I loved the beautiful packaging. :-).
Product Description – A face palette that uses your own natural beauty to luminize , bronze, and add the perfect flirty flush.
Fall in love with the first face palette that uses your own natural beauty to luminize, add a bronzing veil, and create a flirty flush-making all your effortless beauty dreams come true. The velvety-soft formula is infused with hydrating coconut butter and includes multidimentional shades that can be worn all over the face to take your natural beauty game to the next level.
The packaging of the Too Faced Natural Face Palette is absolutely beautiful. One reason to purchase this palette was the packaging. The outer sleeve as well as the palette inside have a pretty lace floral design that looks beautiful. The palette feels heavy, elegant and luxurious. I love the gold accents and the heart shape clasp. I also like that the back of the palette is pastel pink in color instead of full gold. There is a large great quality mirror inside the palette, which I always prefer. The size of the mirror is just perfect to see your entire face while doing your makeup. I also like that the names of all the powders are printed on the inside of the palette. It also includes a step by step guide to use the palette.
The Too Faced Natural Face Palette contains six shades of powders. Two bronzing veils, two shades of blush and two highlighters. All the shades are a bit warmer, except one blush. When we open the palette it has a strong coconut scent to it. Apparently, these are infused with coconut butter that gives these powders the scent. However, the presence of coconut butter also makes these powders creamy and soft in texture. I also want to mention that the scent lingers for a little longer after application. I don’t mind the scent, but it may bother some of you, if you prefer unscented makeup and skincare.
The texture of all the powders in this palette is very soft and feels like velvet. The pigmentation is great and just perfect on each powder. The formula blends well on the skin. The highlighters give a natural glow to the skin, which I always prefer. I will be talking about them in the order of first row and second row. Even the swatches are in that order.
Starlight – Starlight is a light peachy highlighter with some warm golden pinkish sheen, almost like a little duochrome effect. If you like a natural looking glow, this is a perfect highlighter. However, it is also buildable.
Pink Wink – Pink Wink is a cool tone bright pink blush with some golden sheen or we can say it has a satin finish. The pigmentation is this blush is intense, so we have to be careful with it. I’d suggest using a lighter hand works well. This blush blends well on the skin. I believe this blush is too bright to be included in the “natural palette”. But I am not complaining. 🙂
Sunny Honey Bronzing Veil – This is a light medium brown with warm undertone. In the swatch it is matte, but Too Faced describes it as satin finish. However, after blending, I see some fine gold shimmers. I like that it has semi-opaque pigmentation, so you can never go wrong or overboard with it.
Satin Sheets Highlighter – Satin Sheets is a warm, shimmery gold highlighter, which is very pretty and looks great on my medium skin tone. The pigmentation of this highlighter is great. It is a little more intense in comparison to the Starlight highlighter in this palette. But we can always use a light hand for the natural look. It does not have any shimmers. It reminds me of the Becca Prosecco pop highligher.
Pink Sand – This is a natural looking medium rosy pink blush with warm peachy/brown undertones. It has a matte finish. The pigmentation is great, feels soft and is easy to blend. I prefer this blush to the Pink Wink. This shade will look natural and pretty on all skin tones.
Tropic Like It’s Hot – This bronzer shade is a little dark copper with warm undertones. It has a nice metallic sheen but it is not glittery. It is more like a highlighter for deeper complexions. I love the bronze copper tone of this bronzer. We can use it as an eye shadow as well.
Overall, Too Faced Natural Face Palette is a beautiful palette. I love all the shades included in this palette. However, I wish the Pink Wink shades was a bit more peachy or berry toned blush. I will be using more of the natural looking shades. The formula is creamy and soft, which blends well. The lasting power is great. I am glad that I bought this palette from Sephora and am very happy that it is one of the permanent palettes from Too Faced. Do you already own this palette? What are your thoughts? 🙂
Until next time stay bright and beautiful! 🙂
Hi Ms. V, Happy New Year and happy new Too Faced Palette! The shades all look to be quite wearable, and I love a bronze shade that can double as an eyeshadow. It makes minimal makeup days so much easier. Bonus points for the smell of coconut, I love that scent so much. Thanks for this :). xoxo
