Hey! I am here with yet another Milani product. Today, I have Milani Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette. The cruelty-free drugstore brand always amazes me with their constant new releases. They always tempt me with their beautiful gold packaging and great quality. However, it is difficult for me to instantly buy their products. So, I wait for my visit to US, hehehe. (Visiting next week) 😉
Milani Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette is yet another addition to my growing collection. I am a big fan of their Everyday Eyes Eye shadow palettes and my recent Milani Bold Obsessions Palette. Milani never disappoints, besides it is a cruelty-free brand at the drugstore.
Product Description – Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette is an opulent blend of brilliant golds, bronzes, and berries. Features 12 silky shadows in soft matte and foil shimmer finishes with 2 ultra-illuminating pearl highlighters in duochrome white gold and shimmering golden peach.
The packaging of Milani Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette is as usual, beautiful, shiny and golden. The star burst design is pretty. The packaging is compact and sturdy. The large mirror inside comes handy, while travelling. However, the glossy shiny packaging will capture finger prints, but I don’t mind cleaning it. 🙂 I never leave finger prints behind ( I am learning by watching lot of crime thrillers on Netflix hehehe). The name of the shades is mentioned at the back of the palette. But, this palette does not have any instructions about using the palette, like on their other eye shadow palettes. It is okay, however it is helpful for new makeup users.
Milani Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette features 12 eye shadows and 2 highlighters. The 12 eye shadows contain a mix of 6 mattes and 6 metallics. The palette is divided into two looks. But, I think the colors in this palette compliment each other well, to create a multitude of looks. The 6 shimmers are 6 mattes are made for each other. You can create a simple everyday looks as well as the smoky glam looks for the night time.
Naked Truth – It is a light warm tone cream shade with matte finish. The pigmentation is perfect as base color.
Champagne Wasted – As the name suggests it is a peachy champagne shade. This one has a nice metallic sheen. It feels very buttery and soft.
Love Addict – A pretty warm bronzy red with a metallic sheen. This shimmer eye shadow is also very soft and creamy.
Desire of Gold – A beautiful warm gold, like it is powdered gold pressed in the palette. It is soft and smooth with nice pigmentation.
Just Bronzing Around – A bright copper shade with some yellow tone. The metallic finish is also very beautiful. As usual the formula again is soft and creamy.
The Olive of my life – A medium brown with dark olive tone and specs of gold/silver shimmers. The texture is soft with great pigmentation.
Sweet as Honey – A very light warm biscuit brownish shade with matte finish. It is light enough as base color. The pigmentation is also on point and blends effortlessly.
Most Covet Rose – This is a duo-chrome rosy pink shadow with a golden shift. It is very pretty with soft and creamy consistency. It is like pink is all decorated with gold.
Crazy for Cocoa – A medium tone brown and has a matte finish. Actually, this is more of a biscuit brown than Sweet as honey. 🙂
Time to Un-wine – This one is a darker berry wine shade and has a matte finish. Again pigmentation and texture is great.
Wood you join me – A dark warm brown with some grey undertone. This eye shadow has a matte finish but with some sheen. The formula is soft and blends well.
Black Tie Affair – A black eye shadow with semi-matte finish. The pigmentation is great with soft blendable texture.
Brighten Up My Day Highlighter – This is a pretty silver with some light gold shimmer. The finish is super metallic with intense pigments and soft texture, that blends easily.
Highlight of the Day Highlighter – This is a warm golden highlighter with intense metallic finish. I reminds me of the Becca Prosecco Pop highlighter. The texture and consistency is also very smooth and creamy.
Overall, Milani Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette is a beautiful palette with a great selection of shades. I like that the mattes and shimmers are easy to work with. However, you will have to be especially gentle with the shimmers. This is also a lovely palette to carry along while travelling. However, I wish they had included a blush in this too, as it is an ” Eye & Face Palette”. But, I can’t complaint as there are the pink and wine shades that we can use as blush, in case you forget to carry one. This is a pretty palette to own, if you are fan of some rose golds and berry wine shades. The Milani Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette feels more higher end in quality. I love this brand too, Kiran. I am always tempted to get something. These kind of shades are so wearable on a regular basis. I like to add a little color which is not too much and looks pretty on the eyes.:-)

These are such gorgeous shades. I like the un-wine colour, so autumnal! This autumn I want to try and be a bit more experimental with the colours I use and try and be better at make up. You have taken some great photographs! Thank you for sharing.

What a stunning palette! I really want to grab one of the Milani palettes but I find them so pricey for a drugstore brand, so I’ve been hesitating.

You are absolutely right. Being a drugstore brand the prices of these palettes are on a higher side. However, sometimes the prices are better on Amazon. I have purchased a few recently and it was cheaper on Amazon in comparison to the website or the drugstores. 🙂 Thanks a lot my dear.
