Hi! I got to try the Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask. Another lovely product that I received in my Boxycharm. While browsing Amazon, I came across the colorful page of Elemis. I wanted to purchase the Superfood Berry boost mask, because I liked the color of the packaging. But, when I received the Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask, I thought let me first try this and then go for the other one. But, now I regret not purchasing the berry one. Elemis is a new brand for me, only because I never got the chance to try anything.
Elemis is a luxury British Skincare brand and their tag line is ” Defined by Nature and led by Science“. It was founded by Linda Steiner, Sean Harrington, Noella Gabriel and Oriele Frank in 1990. But, now the brand is owned by Loccitane, which is one of my favorite brands. Elemis is a cruelty-free and vegan brand. Taking the benefits of natural ingredients and pairing it with science. They have developed high-performance formulas. But, I have never tried anything by the brand and was super excited to use the Elemis Superfood Vital veggie Mask.
When I checked the Elemis Website, I found some innovative skincare products. However, the prices are trying to touch the sky. ( Yes they are not there yet, but close enough 🙂 ) It also surprised me that their face masks were significantly inexpensive and affordable at $35, in comparison to their other products.
Product Description – Nourishes, Hydrates, Brightens. Get the shot of green goodness with this treatment mask that nourishes, smoothes and brightens, for softer, smoother more radiant skin.
Wheatgrass, Kale and Nettle replenish the skin with vital minerals and vitamins for a healthy-looking complexion.
Avocado and Chia Seed Oils, naturally rich in Omega Fatty Acids 6 and 9, soften skin and lock in moisture.
Vitamin C and Passion fruit Acids reveal a brighter-looking complexion.
This product is Vegan Friendly, and like all ELEMIS products, it is cruelty free.
I am a firm believer in Science and all the goodness of nature. When science and nature combine, it has to be awesome. I have always used natural ingredients like turmeric, milk, yogurt, vegetables like potato peels, cucumber, tomato juice, beet root, strawberries, lemon juice, honey etc in various DIY face masks. So, I was super excited to try the Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask.
The packaging is simple and practical. A squeeze tube is very efficient for face mask packaging. I love the simple green and white pattern. It makes it look like it is an all natural, organic skincare product. I also like the matte finish and the sheen that this tube has. It makes it look expensive. I also appreciate a tube with a seal. Reminds me of the Origins Drink up mask.
The key ingredients in the Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask are – Aloe Vera is the most loved ingredient in skincare. It has been used for centuries, for its skin soothing properties. It is also a natural hydrant that helps to soothe, moisturize and soften the skin. Avocado is naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and Omega-9 along with 25 other nutrients that are vital for skin health. Broccoli, Kale, Passion fruit extracts are all rich in vitamins and minerals that help to replenish the skin. The different seed oils in this mask naturally hydrate, nourish and soften the skin. The Prebiotic naturally derived from sugar, helps to maintain balance in the skin’s microflora for a healthier-looking complexion.
The texture and consistency of the Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask is very smooth and buttery. It feels like a rich cream. It is light minty green in color.
Application is simple. I apply a thick layer (not very thick) and leave it on for more than twenty minutes. Instantly, after applying the mask, it feels cool on the skin. However, this does not dry like my other face masks. But after about ten minutes it turns a bit translucent and somewhat half dry. After washing away, my skin feels nice, smooth and plump. It feels well hydrated without the oily or greasy feeling. I’d say it is a great way to add some natural and wholesome goodness to our skin.
Overall, I have used this face mask a few times and am loving it. It claims to brighten the complexion. But getting a brighter skin is a long and continuous process. But, it is very hydrating and calms the skin. Besides, I use a lot of different skincare and face masks that help me get the best skin possible. However, I want to mention that I saw instant results when I used the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. I highly recommend trying this mask. I am glad to have this face mask in my skincare stash and look forward to try some more by the brand. Besides it is very easily available on Amazon :-). Have you tried this face mask? Which is your favorite hydrating mask? Let me know in the comments. 🙂
Until next time stay healthy, bright and beautiful! 🙂
