Dior Rouge Blush 999 Review & Swatches

Hey lovely! What is it with me and rouge! The other day I posted about Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick and today I have the Dior Rouge Blush 999. Is something rouge going on , in my mind! Maybe! 🙂 ( Trying to be funny I guess, it’s difficult. Please ignore if it was not) :D. I am so attracted to the color red. Thus the Dior Rouge blush 999 happened. You know it, when you lay eyes on something and immediately it turns into that compelling desire to have it. (No, I am not talking about the novel or the Netflix series YOU). This was the feeling when I first saw this blush.

Product Description – Rouge blush is the only blush from Dior that gives cheeks intense, ultra-pigmented color that lasts. This range of iconic shades was inspired by the legendary Rouge Dior lipstick. The shades are buildable to suit any desired effect, from soft to bold. Rouge Blush is available in matte, satin and shimmer finishes.

The Dior Rouge Blush is created to match the Dior Rouge lipstick. This blush is their newest launch. I was actually drawn to the Dior Rough blush in the shade 999, because it was their featured shade and seen everywhere. There are seven shades available on the Dior website and all the shades are beautiful and correspond to a shade of Rouge Dior lipstick. These are available in three different finishes – matte, satin and shimmer. However, you don’t have to worry about the shimmers, because these are very very fine.

The Dior Rough blush 999 is a rich warm tone red. It has some fine pink shimmers, that gives this blush a luminous glow and sheen when applied on the cheeks. It is really amazing that this intense blush blends easily. This blush looks natural without being overly shimmery. However, I have the habit of buffing out using my foundation brush, to make it seamless.

The packaging of Dior Rouge blush 999, as usual of the brand, screams luxury. The beautiful navy case is glossy smooth and luxurious. It comes in a soft velvet pouch. I love the signature logo stamped on the blush. There is a small mirror on the inside and a nice blush. Hehe Of course it is small and difficult to use but it is pretty and nice. 🙂

The formula of the Dior Rouge Blush 999 is absolutely gorgeous. Just by looking at it, we feel it’s very creamy. The texture is velvety soft and applies beautifully. The consistency is smooth and dense but not at all stiff or powdery. It gives a luminous satin finish, that looks very pretty. You need to be careful with the application, because it is super pigmented. You have to use a lighter hand or you can easily go over board. I’d suggest using less than you anticipate and build it up as desired. The blush can be build to full opacity and is very long lasting. This high intensity Rouge blush looks pretty, revealing an irresistible healthy and radiant glow. The lasting power is amazing, however on my oily skin it is visible up to 5-6 hours.

Overall, I am glad to have this beautiful blush in my collection. It is such a pretty shade and looks natural, which I prefer.
