Derma-nu Extreme Anti-Oxidant Mask Review

Hi! I won’t say I have a simple skincare routine, because I do not! Lol! In my skincare a face mask is a must. So today, I have the new Derma-nu Extreme Anti-Oxidant Mask to talk about. If you are a regular reader, you will know that I love using clay based masks, as I have oily skin. It helps to keep my skin nice and flawless. I got this mask for a few reasons anti-oxidant mask, all natural organic ingredients, cruelty free brand.

If you have oily acne prone skin I highly recommend, using a clay mask. In my experience clay masks have been very effective in refining the pores by removing dirt and oils that block the pores and cause black heads and acne. However, clay masks can also be drying. It is always a good thing to use a good moisturizer after masking. But there are so many great clay based masks that do not dry the skin and are perfect for all skin types. The packaging of the Derma-nu Extreme anti-oxidant mask is pretty and simple. It comes in a plastic container with a twist open pearly grey lid. I like that the packaging inside is sealed. The overall look is pretty with all the pink floral design. All the details like the ingredient list and other instructions about the mask are printed on it. The size and packaging reminds me of the Dead sea mud mask.

The texture of the mask is nice and smooth with fine granules for exfoliation, but also quite liquid-y. I could not find the details about the fine particles. But, since it is an all natural face mask the granules are also natural. Because while washing off the mask I feel the granules are very gentle and melt away. The consistency is quite runny for a clay mask. However, I love it. There are a few advantages for this kind of consistency. We never use too much product and it will never dry out fast. I love the mild earthy herbal spa like scent it has. I believe the scent is a mix of all natural ingredients, which is quite relaxing. It reminds me of so many other all natural clay masks that I have tried.

The main ingredients in this mask are kaolin clay, aloe vera, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, peptides, rosehip oil along with loads of other botanical extracts. These are powerful ingredients that provide great anti-aging benefits. These work together in maintaining and giving our skin a smooth and youthful appearance.

Kaolin clay gently cleanses the skin and it great even for sensitive skin types. It reduces oil, while purifying and detoxifying the pores by removing dirt, pollution and grime. It also effectively helps in preventing acne, shrink pores and gently exfoliating the dry dead skin, while improving the elasticity of the skin and delaying the signs of aging.

Aloe vera – It is one of the popular natural ingredient in skincare. It helps to moisturize the skin while also helps to soothe the skin.

Glycolic Acid – One of my favorite ingredients in face masks and in skincare. It is a preferred AHA in skincare, which is derived from natural sugars found in fruits like pineapple, sugarcane, lemon etc. It also helps to improve the appearance of the skin by exfoliating dead skin cells and helps accelerate the skin renewal process to achieve more radiant and flawless complexion. Products that contain glycolic acid are often used to treat scarring, discoloration of skin and helps to fight fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin C – Another star ingredient, in this mask Vitamin C. It helps reduce inflammation, irritation of the skin, sun damage, fades breakout marks while improving the healing process. It also boosts our skin defense against UV exposure.

Application

I take a fair amount of mask in a plastic spatula as it is so runny. And apply all over my face leaving the eye and mouth area. Using a nice mask brush will be a better idea for application. It tingles a little bit and I love the cooling sensation of the mask. I leave it on for approximately 20-30 minutes and relax. It takes it’s time to dry completely. After it is completely dried, I moisten it with water and start massaging the mask in small circular motion. I feel the tiny granules that gently help to exfoliate the skin. Later, I wash it off with water.

After washing off the mask, I pat dry with a clean towel. My skin feels baby soft and smooth. It looks brighter and more radiant too. I use my daily serum or moisturizer after that. Even though I don’t need it. My skin does not feel dry after using this clay mask. It is amazing how a simple face mask does wonders to your skin. I feel it is one of the most gentle and effective face mask I have tried.

Overall, I am loving the Derma-nu Extreme anti-oxidant mask and am glad I tried it. I have been using this twice or thrice a week for the past few weeks. This mask is just amazing, it always leaves my skin soft, smooth and radiant every time I use it. It has also helped to improve the texture of my skin and my skin feels softer and smoother. It is a multi purpose skin treatment for your skin. I highly recommend trying this mask if you are looking to reduce the look of large pores, prevent acne/blemishes and you have oily skin like me.
