Hi! Today I want to share my thoughts about Celeteque Anti Wrinkle Collagen Gel. If you are a regular reader you know me, anything that is anti wrinkle or anti aging, I have to try. Besides Celeteque DermoScience is one of my favorite brands for skincare at the drugstore, in Philippines. They have some of the best skincare products, that cater to different skin concerns. I highly recommend this brand if you are in Philippines. I have tried a few of their products and loved it. So when I saw this anti wrinkle gel cream, I had to try and here I am with Celeteque anti wrinkle collagen gel review.

About the brand

Celeteque DermoScience is an affordable Filipino brand at the drugstore. A skincare brand that is backed by science and co-created by dermatologists. They use only derma grade ingredients to promote skin health.  Celeteque DermoScience has six skincare lines developed for different skin conditions. Hydration, Acne Solutions, Sun Care, Brightening, Advanced Anti-Aging and Hair & Scalp Care. They also have a makeup line with skincare in it which is very impressive.

Celeteque anti wrinkle collagen gel is a part of their Advanced Anti-Aging line. There are five products in this line. But I got the anti wrinkle gel cream for my oily skin. It is one of the most affordable anti-wrinkle gel cream that I have tried.

Packaging

The packaging of Celeteque anti wrinkle collagen gel cream is simple. A light weight plastic container with a screw on lid. It also has a stopper to protect the product from leaking out. It looks cheaper in comparison to their tube packaging. I am talking about their acne solutions cleansing gel packaging. Actually, I would prefer if it came in a tube or a pump dispenser kind of a packaging. The gel inside is light peachy in color. The texture and consistency is like gel. The formula of this gel is enriched with hydrolyzed collagen and soya bean protein. Ingredients that will help to improve the overall appearance of the skin.

About collagen

Collagen is nothing but a protein that our body naturally produces in abundance. But as we age the collagen production keeps reducing. As a result the skin loses its firmness and elasticity. We can’t do much about it, however, there are topical and ingestible forms of collagen that can help to some extent. Because the collagen molecule is way too large for it to penetrate into deeper layers of skin. While the hydrolyzed collagen also called collagen peptides is broken down into smaller fragments, which makes them easy to get absorbed into the deeper layer of the skin. However, there is not much evidence to support this idea. But, it definitely hydrates the skin, which is also a key to younger looking plumper skin. If you apply collagen cream every night it will reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, by moisturizing your skin, which will make it softer and smoother.

Application

I want to mention that whenever I am trying a new skincare product, I try to use only that for a few weeks to see the results. I have been using this anti aging gel for the past 3 weeks twice a day, as suggested on the website. It is mentioned to use it on wrinkle prone areas like neck, forehead, around the eyes and mouth. But I have been using it on my whole face, specifically focusing on the wrinkle prone areas. I scoop a little using a spatula and apply all over my face and neck. The gel cream absorbs instantly and feels very light weight. I always look for skincare that is not heavy as I have oily skin. After regularly using it for almost 3 weeks I see that my wrinkles around the eyes and also my forehead are softer and my skin feels firmer. My skin also feels hydrated without being oily.

Overall, I really liked the Celeteque anti wrinkle collagen gel cream as it is very affordable and effective. My skin feels soft, smooth and hydrated. I also want to mention that I am consistent with my skincare. I am always using some face mask, serums, sleeping masks and more. So my skin is already kind of in a good condition. Skin issues start when I am lazy and skip my routine for a few days. But using the anti wrinkle gel cream did improve my overall skin condition.
