Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher Review

Hello friends! The iconic Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher has been around since 1863. For almost over 150 years, the formula has been refined and perfected. I did not know that when I purchased these blushes. Bourjois continues to innovate and create great, quality products which are also easily accessible to the modern woman. The fact that this blush was used by our great grand mothers, and we are still using it today is really amazing. I have tried a fair amount of products from Bourjois like the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and the Bourjois Rouge Velvet liquid lipsticks. This is one of my favorite brand at the drugstore.

Product Description – Blushing beauty at your fingertips!

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher has been keeping women beautiful for generations. Made in an exclusive baked technology process, its incredibly transparent & light texture formula is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the blush reveals the irresistible rose scented aroma. Its built-in-mirror and brush are perfect for touch-ups on the go!

The packaging of the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher is awesome. It is a cute, little, round plastic container. The lid has a magnetic closure to it. There is also a small but good quality mirror inside the lid. The mirror comes in handy on the go. Besides I just love it when a compact has a mirror. It also comes with a cute curved brush that perfectly fits over the domed blush. This brush is okay and can be used on the go.  The outer packaging is also color coordinated to the inner shade of the blush. This makes it easy to choose the shade that you want. Thus, the packaging is very travel friendly.

Inside, the dome shaped blusher sits elegantly in the round pot, made with their exclusive baked technology. There is 2.5 grams of product inside the pan. The formula of these blushes is light and feels silky smooth. The Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher is available in the most wearable pearly to matte formulas.  These blushes are available in 17 of the most beautiful shades from transparent, pinks, corals, lilac and mauve shades. But right now on the website, I only see 7 shades. I am not sure why. 🙂  There is a mild rose fragrance to these blushes. However, it does not linger. But with one sweep of the blush, you will get the scent. I have two shades to share – No. 33 Lilas d’Or and No. 34 Rose d’Or.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher

No. 33 Lilas d’Or – This is a soft rosy pink blush. It looks very pink in the pan but comes across as a peachy pink. This also has some shimmers, but these are very fine and not glittery at all. However, it gives a nice and healthy sheen to the cheeks. The shimmer present in this blush does not emphasize the pores or the texture on the skin. It doubles up as a highlighter as well. The pigmentation is subtle, however we can build it up to our liking. It looks very pretty. This one is my favorite of the two. Looks better on my medium complexion.

No. 34 Rose d’Or – This is a medium-bright, rosy-pink shade with some fine golden shimmers. This shade is very similar to the NARS Orgasm, which is so popular. The shimmer here is particularly fine just like the shimmers in the Orgasm blush, if you are familiar with that. The pigmentation in Rose d’Or is more than Lilas d’Or but more muted. This gives just the right amount of flush to the cheeks. However, when applied heavily, this can be build to add some intense color.

Overall, I highly recommend trying the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher. These are very cute and pretty. Due to the baked formula the texture is very soft and feels quite velvety. It blends perfectly well without feeling chalky or powdery. The fine shimmers in both of the blushes add a radiant glow to the cheeks. However, if you don’t like blushes with fine shimmers, matte blushes are also available in this line of blushes by Bourjois. I want to mention that a hard, firm, top layer sometimes forms, making it difficult to pick up the product (this happens with baked products oftentimes). However, after lightly scraping off this layer, the blush inside becomes perfect again.

It lasts well up to 3-4 hours on my oily skin before fading. The fragrance does not bother me at all. If you are used to luxury makeup, these, most of the time, have some fragrance to them. This scent in Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher, however is similar. You may already know that until a few years back, Bourjois had owned Chanel for a really long time. Hence, we see some similarity between the products made by both brands. I am very fond of Bourjois as a drugstore brand; it has never disappointed me.

You can purchase these blushes from the Bourjois Website and various drugstores across UK. Since Bourjois is not available in certain regions, I always purchase it from Amazon when I visit the US. Have you tried any of these blushes? Which shade is your favorite? Which other product would you suggest that I should try?

Until next time stay bright and beautiful! 🙂
