Hi! This is kind of a nostalgic post for me, where I talk about the best Mac lipstick for medium skin beauties. Do you remember long long time ago, Mac lipsticks were all over YouTube. Everyone spoke about their Mac lipstick collection, best mac lipsticks for different skin tones etc. I love lipsticks and always loved watching lipstick videos. And Mac lipstick videos were really very popular back then. I can say that YouTube made me buy these lipsticks. However, I only got those shades that would look good on my medium skin tone. Well, so today I have a similar post, just to share my mac lipstick collection. Besides these are the best mac lipsticks for medium skin beauties. I have some old classic shades, that are regarded as the all time cult favorite and the most popular shades in mac lipsticks.

First I want to mention that, I was never into Mac cosmetics. The reason being I rarely encountered a mac store in my area, and secondly when I accidentally saw one, it felt overwhelming to enter the store. It was too perfect to enter. The girls working there felt more professional looking and I always thought it was a store for professional makeup artists and models. 🙂 But now the stores have become more welcoming and open to explore and look around even if you don’t want to buy anything. So today’s post is all about the best mac lipsticks for medium skin beauties. These shades will look amazing of medium olive skin tones and my Indian friends. Besides these bright and beautiful shades will enhance your natural golden undertone.

Firstly, the packaging of the MAC lipsticks is and has always been like a bullet. Even when they come with some limited edition packaging the shape of the lipstick is same, smooth as a bullet. The popular and most loved vanilla scent is lovely. I love the scent of a lipstick, be it the L’Oreal lipsticks or any other higher end brand of lipsticks. Lipsticks for me is beautiful in and out. Here are some of the shades that I have in my collection.

MAC Rebel – Rebel was one of the first shades, I purchased along with Heroine. It is a very pretty shade for medium skin tone. A beautiful deep dark berry color with some cool undertone. This has a pearly satin finish which is hydrating on the lips. The lasting power is great while it also leaves a light stain at the end of the day. Rebel is considered one of the best shade for medium olive skin beauties as it brightens the whole complexion.

MAC Captive: Captive is a medium cool toned plum shade in satin finish. Satin finish is like more of a semi- matte finish which is long wearing. The pigmentation is great and is one of the best mac lipstick for medium olive skin beauties as it enhances the golden olive complexion, while adding extra warmth to the face.

MAC Twig – Twig is regarded as a perfect nude pink. The satin finish makes it looks very natural on the lips, like your lips but better. The satin formula lasts around 5-6 hours and looks elegant. However, I am more of a darker nude kinda girl, so whenever I am wearing Twig, I like to add a little more color to the shade. I do that by pairing it with another shade or a lip liner. 🙂

MAC Sophisto – Sophisto is a sheer nude pink with berry undertones. This is the only lipstick in my collection that has luster finish. It is sheer but glossy, more like a lip gloss and also has some gold shimmer. Since it is creamy and sheer the lasting power is less. This formula is comfortable to wear and is less drying, unlike the matte ones. This shades works best across all skin tones because it is more on a nude side and not pigmented. Due to less opacity girls with pigmented lips like me, will need to use a lip liner.

MAC Dubonnet – Dubonnet is a warm toned red with brown undertones. I love these kind of shades for my medium complexion. It instantly brightens the face. The cream finish is comfortable to wear and has a nice opaque pigmentation. I applies smoothly and feels hydrating.

MAC Men Love Mystery – Another pretty medium violet purple shade with some lavender. This one has a semi-matte finish, but also has a creamy texture which is hydrating on the lips. In the swatch you can see it is pretty opaque in one swipe.

MAC All Fired Up – All Fired Up is a bold and bright dark fuchsia with a hint of blue undertone to it. The retro matte formula gives a beautiful matte finish to the lips. The pigmentation is rich but it is slightly drying. I believe this shade is gorgeous on every skin color. However, it is a very bold shade without being too overpowering.

MAC Flat Out Fabulous – A pretty bright magenta pink with a hint of cool undertone and has a semi-matte finish. The pigmentation is fabulous and feels light weight. The semi matte formula of this lipstick is more emollient and hydrating in comparison to the other mac matte lipsticks. However, this one also leaves a light stain which I just love.

MAC Persistence – MAC Persistence is a medium brown with some warm peachy undertone. The finish is matte and has an opaque coverage. It feels creamy and glides smoothly on the lips. This is another beautiful nude shade for medium skin beauties.

MAC Ruby Woo – One of the most popular Mac lipstick is Ruby Woo. A classic red that looks absolutely stunning on every complexion. The retro matte finish adds glamour and grace at the same time. It lasts a long time on the lips. However, it is a bit drying. You will need to prepare your lips to wear this formula. 🙂

MAC Heroine – Heroine is a medium dark purple with pink undertones. This is a beautiful and unique shade, and I love it. It has a satin finish and feels creamy during application. This is my first MAC lipstick along with Rebel. The pigmentation is fabulous and looks absolutely stunning on medium skin beauties. Besides it wears off evenly, leaving a nice stain behind. 🙂 It is a bright shade which I sometimes like to wear it as a stain. It looks very pretty.

MAC Retro – Retro is a warm toned medium plum shade and has a satin finish. For me it is more like a darker nude shade that looks beautiful on medium skin tones. This one is another popular shade, which most of the beauty lovers own. The creamy formula and pigmentation is just fabulous. 🙂

Overall, I want to say MAC has become one of my favorite brands for lipsticks. If you love lipsticks you need at least one in your collection. I had to do this post as I wanted to record my journey in makeup and these lipsticks are an important part. I strongly believe these shades are the best MAC lipsticks for medium skin beauties!
