Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder Review

Hey lovely! Today, I have another drugstore loose powder to talk about. Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder. If you are a regular reader, you will know that I love trying different loose powders, as I have very oily skin. There are some loose powders like Laura Mercier loose powder, Coty airspun loose powder that are my favorite. Maybelline’s Fit Me line has become very popular among beauty community. The Maybelline Fit Me Collection has everything you need for a flawless face. I had to try. I have featured this powder in my Amazon Haul.

This mineral powder provides the perfect finishing touch to your makeup base.

The packaging of the Maybelline Fit Me loose finishing powder is a bit unique and compact. It comes in a square box with a twist open cap. When we open it, there is a nice sifter that prevents that powder from flying around. One twist and it closes shut. I like that. 🙂

This powder is available in eight shades from fair to deep. The shade range in quite impressive for a loose powder. Well, I am not complaining. 🙂 I have two shades 25 Medium and 35 Deep. I got two shades for a reason. Sometimes whenever I get some powder unless it is translucent it turns out to be a lighter shade. So this time I got these two shades so I can mix and use according to my skin tone. Lol! However, these are pigmented, apparently the medium one is perfect for me. I will have to find a way to use the deeper one. 😀

The Maybelline Fit Me loose finishing powder is a lightweight powder. It is very finely milled and feels very silky smooth. It gives a nice matte/satinish finish. Since it is not translucent, it provides good coverage which is also buildable. The application is smooth and does not sink in fine lines and wrinkles. I use it to set my foundation or CC/BB cream.

It is also great for setting under the eyes, because of the good coverage. However, the shade is a little darker for my under eyes. Psst! It also helps to keep my skin matte, throughout the day, which is my main concern. This powder is called finishing powder, rather than setting powder. I have tried to use it both ways and found it works better as setting powder. However, you can also use it as finishing powder but, you will have to be light handed.

I would say it is one of the best at the drugstore and so affordable. I can easily compare it to the Laura Mercier Loose Setting powder which is my most used besides the Coty Airspun loose face powder. which is also my favorite at the drugstore. The only difference between these powders are that both are translucent, while the Maybelline one is colored that fits almost every skin tone.

Overall, Maybelline Fit Me loose finishing powder is great for setting makeup, controls oil and shine throughout the day and also helps to smooth skin’s texture. It is perfect for all skin types but you have to be careful about how much you use. It does not settle in fine lines and is a great option at the drugstore. I am really loving this powder and works best for the oily skin gals. It actually does what it claims. And most importantly it does not give flashbacks. At the lowest price on Amazon, it is one of the best at the drugstore. I highly recommend giving it a try, you will love it too. However, pick the right shade. Have you tried this powder?
