Hi! When the new Maybelline Super Stay Teddy Tint launched, I was very eager to try them. Firstly, because I love Maybelline lipsticks and these are very affordable. Especially the Super Stay line are some of the best long-lasting lipsticks by the brand. You remember my post on Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink lipsticks. The new Maybelline Super Stay teddy tint is also marketed as soft lip tint that stays on the lips all day and leaves a beautiful, smooth blurring matte effect, that lasts up to 12 hours. The smooth blurring matte effect compelled me to try them. So I got three shades that I want to share with you.

The packaging of the new Maybelline Super Stay teddy tint is cute, color coordinated plastic tube. I like the unique shape of the tubes. The doe foot applicator is easy to use.

Formula

Super Stay teddy tints have a unique formula, that is described as “teddy-soft.” It has a lightweight, mousse-like consistency that effortlessly glides onto the lips. It gives a soft, blurred finish that will last more than 12 hours. The uniqueness about the new Maybelline Super Stay teddy tints is the three ways to wear it on the lips. One swipe gives a sheer wash of color, two swipes creates a trendy blurred-matte look, and three swipes delivers a bold, color to the lips. Whether you prefer subtle or dramatic look, this lip tint has you covered.

How to use it?

The brand has recommended three ways to wear this teddy tint. Blurred, gradient and bold. One is to apply 2-3 dots on the lips and blend it with your finger and let it dry. This way it stains the lips with a flush of matte color. You can also wear it as gradient lip look. For the bold look apply the first layer, let is dry and then add another layer. You can also use this teddy tint on your cheeks and eyes.

60 Cool Grunge – Cool grunge is a neutral pink with a hint of red.

55 Knee High – Knee high is a beautiful mauve shade which is also my favorite.

65 Pinkie Bestie – Pinkie bestie is a bright and vibrant pink. Great for spring and summer.

I am loving the new Maybelline Super Stay teddy tint because of the light weight formula. On the lips this tint feels like nothing. The feeling is dry like there is nothing on my lips, yet my lips look so good because of the light tint. I love the versatility of this lip tint. It caters to my mood perfectly. One swipe gives me the sheer wash of color and two swipes delivers the blurred matte look, which I prefer during the day time. However, you must allow it to dry between the application for it to last all day. It does not feeling drying, however I’d recommend prepping (apply lip balm for sometime, then wipe it before applying the lip tint) your lips before can help ensure smooth application.

Overall, I am loving this multitasking and versatile product that works as a lip and cheek tint. It blends beautifully and adds a natural flush to the cheeks. It is also easy to create everyday monochromatic looks as well as dramatic looks for special occasions.
