Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask Review

Hi! Today I have another great mask to talk about. The Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask. You are already familiar with and have heard all good things about the brand and their Water Sleeping Pack, which has also become my one of my favorite face masks. When I saw Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask I was intrigued to try. As I always say anything that promises to firm skin, I have to try.

The Korean Skincare brand Laneige has some great skincare masks that helps to hydrate the skin. The popular ones are the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask and the Laneige lip sleeping mask. I see them everywhere on social media. The sleeping mask is comfortably worn all night to target specific skin concerns and washed off the next morning. Unlike, the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask – that is mainly to hydrate the skin, the Laneige Firming Sleeping mask targets both hydration and anti-aging concerns.

The packaging of the Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask is very pretty and looks expensive. It is a blue glass like high-quality plastic jar that looks expensive. It is heavy and comes with a tiny little spatula.

The consistency and texture of this mask is like jelly. It feels light and watery, when applied. However, it is a little thick. The best part is that this mask is elastic. When we dip the spatula to scoop a little mask, within few seconds it restores it’s original smooth shape. It is amazing. I have never seen or used any such product.

The Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask inside, is milky white in color. But when we spread it on the skin, it becomes translucent like water. It has a very aromatic and relaxing ‘sleepscent’. This particular sleep scent is a combination of ingredients to help us sleep well. This thick gel mask is infused with peptide rich ingredient called ‘SleePOP’, that are meant to stimulate the cell rejuvenation process while also stimulating collagen production. These peptides prevent dryness and improve skin’s restorative function. However, these peptides take a long time to actually show results. But daily application of skin care products with these ingredients show improvement over time.

Another great ingredient that helps restore elasticity is the Memory Gel technology that is present in this mask. Apparently, it works by suppressing and freezing fine lines during night time and prevents them from progressing. As the memory gel, restores into its smooth shape, it helps the skin do the same.

The application of Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask in my skincare routine is simple. After I cleanse my face with Celeteque cleanser then use my Pixi glow tonic or Thayer’s toner. I apply my serum and wait for 5-7 minutes, for it to get absorbed. Before going to bed I apply Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask and wait for it to sink in. It gets absorbed rather quickly just like the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. I don’t feel any greasiness, however, a teeny bit of tackiness is there. We need a tiny amount and this tub will last a long time.

Having used this mask for the past two weeks, three times a week. I can say my skin feels very hydrated and plump. ( I did ignore my skin in the month of December, when I traveled to Bombay. There was so much work and travel, I used to get exhausted to spend time on myself) But now I am back to my regular skincare. I cannot comment much on the firmness of my skin yet, because it will take some time to show results. But it has visually strengthened the texture of my skin and softened the fine lines near my eyes and forehead.

I also did not experience any breakouts due to the scent present in this mask. The Sleepscent it rather strong, fresh and a little perfumey. However, the scent dissipates after we apply the mask, but does not fully disappear. In the morning, I wash off the mask and my skin feels hydrated, soft and plump. My skin is more clear and bright. I use the magnifying mirror to look closely at my skin hehehe. 🙂

Overall, I am loving the results of using this mask. It is a great way to give some intense treatment to the skin. Which my skin really needed this time. Regular use will definitely show the firming results. I will keep using this mask once or twice a week. I highly recommend trying the Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask. While the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask delivers intense hydration , the Laneige firming sleeping mask does both – hydration and overall improves the skin’s elasticity and firmness. This mask is suitable for all skin types but I highly recommend for mature skin, that needs a boost of hydration for a more younger and firmer looking skin. 🙂
