Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer- Review

Hi everyone! Benefit is a well known brand for many amazing products. The POREfessional primer is one of their best selling products. I recently tried their primer and fell in love with it. When I heard that Benefit is launching a new Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer, I was intrigued to try. Since the original one performed so well for my oily skin I wanted to compare and see the difference myself. The original POREfessional gives a pure matte look to the skin while the new pearl primer gives a luminous finish. I got the mini one as I was doubtful that it may look more luminous and shiny on my oily skin (which I now regret).

Product  Details– The power of the POREfessional …. PLUS brightening! This soft-radiance face primer instantly minimizes the look of pores, locks on makeup and helps skin look bright, boosted and awake. It’s the same oil-free, lightweight, silky smooth texture as the original The POREfessional: Pore Primer PLUS a hint of soft pearly pink. Pores and dullness don’t stand a chance!

The packaging of Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer is similar to the original Benefit POREfessional. The only difference is the color of the packaging. It is a soft squeeze tube, with pretty baby pink pattern similar to the older one.  The tube is pink and has a pearl finish look to it. I prefer tube packaging because we can control the amount of product we need.

The primer inside is light baby pink in color while the original one has a peach tone to it. As you all are familiar with color correcting the pink color in the primer effectively provides radiance to the skin. It combats pigmentation on the skin, while providing luminous and brighter looking complexion.

The silicon based formula of Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer glides smoothly on the skin. The silky texture blends over skin easily and evenly. This primer immediately smooths the skin by minimizing the appearance of pores and provides a luminous and radiant glow. It gives that blurred effect to the face due to the silicon present in it. The Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer controls the oil and ensures your makeup stays in place all day.

Over all, the Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer is a great option if you like that bright, luminous and glowing skin. I am happy that Benefit has eventually added this new primer to the already existing best seller. I am loving both the primers, because of my oily skin. It keeps my skin matte which is what I need.  It is a matter of preference as to what you like. Some prefer a fully matte look and some want a glow-y radiant looking skin. Since my T-zone is super oily and my nose and forehead tend to shine a lot, I would probably go with both. The Benefit POREfessional primer for my T-zone while the Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer for my cheeks.

Finally, I am really loving this primer and now I wish I should have got the full size one.  As the mini ones are not that cost effective for the price and amount of product you get. The mini tube is too small in comparison to the bigger tube. I highly recommend this primer to all the oily skin girls, you will not regret it.
