Hey gorgeous! When I first purchased Teadora Brazilian Glow Revitalizing Clay Masque and Scrub, I had no idea about the brand. I just saw the word ‘clay masque’ and it was in my shopping cart. If you are a regular reader, you know how much I love clay masks and always keep trying new ones. When I did my research about Teadora, I was really impressed for what they stand for. Teadora is a skincare brand that is all natural, organic, vegan and cruelty free.
About the Brand Teadora – In Portuguese, “Teadora” means adores you. At Teadora, we show our love for the world with natural and organic products made with the most powerful, unique and sustainable rainforest ingredients on earth. Our products let you experience the bounty and magic of the Amazon – all while helping to save this precious resource for generations to come. At Teadora, we show our love for the world with natural and organic products made with novel rainforest ingredients. Our products let you experience the bounty and magic of the Amazon – while helping to improve the lives of the communities where we live and do business.
It is really impressive the way Teadora works. Teadora is 100% vegan, toxin free, gluten free, synthetic fragrance free, ethically sourced and cruelty free brand. They also help in the preservation of the rainforest by planting more trees. When we purchase a product we plant a tree. I love that concept.
Product Description – DOUBLE DUTY FACIAL SCRUB AND MASK FOR SILKY-SMOOTH SKIN.
Unleash your skin’s natural glow with our revolutionary, Brazilian Glow Red Clay Masque & Scrub in-one. Specially formulated with a proprietary RainforestYouth(tm) Elixir – a superfood oil cocktail of exotic oils from Acai, Andiroba & Maracuja combined with YouthSpark(tm) Actives complex to provide powerful detox, exfoliation, smoothing, brightening and firming. Infusing your skin with moisture to reveal naturally glowing skin. Our RedAmber Clay Complex is formulated with an exotic Brazilian Red Clay that helps to improve elasticity and firmness & Organic Sugar. Especially formulated to be safe for both face and body.
The packaging of Teadora Brazilian Glow Revitalizing Clay Masque has a very earthy look. It is a large reddish brown colored soft squeeze tube with a flip open cap. The brown color of the packaging reminds me of the wet trunk of a tree and the wet red soil. I like that there is a seal on the tube. This mask is available in two versions – one contains sugar and the other has salt in it. I have the one with sugar.
The consistency of the Teadora Brazilian Glow Revitalizing Clay Masque and Scrub is quite liquid like but not too runny. When I try to spread the mask, I feel the grainy bits that are present in it. Instantly it reminds me of my Dr.brandt Poredermabrasion exfoliator, because the texture feels similar. However, the exfoliating crystals in dr.brandt Poredermabrasion are more fine than the one in this mask. The color of the mask is burnt orange. I believe the reddish color comes from the red clay that is one of the ingredients in the mask. Teadora says it is a clay masque and scrub, but I feel this is more of a face and body scrub than a mask to me. It has a very natural and pleasant scent. If you have tried to make a home made scrub using coffee and sugar with some olive oil. This mask looks similar.
The Teadora Brazilian Glow Revitalizing Clay Masque and scrub is enriched with their exclusive blends of Amazon Superfruits and anti-aging botanicals. It also contains –
Teadora RainForestYouth(tm) Elixir – which is a powerful cocktail of superfruit oils from Acai, Andiroba and Maracuja.
Red Clay – Red Clay has a high concentration of iron. It helps smooth the skin instantly and repairs the skin. It is also clinically tested to increase elasticity and firmness of the skin.
Maracuja Oil – This is an antioxidant – rich oil that brightens, heals, moisturizes and repairs the skin without feeling oily or greasy. It is also known as “Pure Miracle” in Brazil.
Buriti – This is an amazingly powerful ingredient. It contains highest concentration of Vitamin A. Buriti is also rich in Vitamin E, Vitamin C and anti-oxidants. It promotes skin healing due to it’s anti-inflamatory properties.
Andiroba – This is known for its fragrant flowers and rich nuts that plump and smooth the skin. It also helps to reduce the appearance of imperfections from fine lines to blemishes.
This mask contains natural oils along with Organic Brazilian Sugar. This organic sugar acts as the exfoliating beads in the Teadora Brazilian Glow Revitalizing Clay Masque and Scrub, instead of the plastic ones. I was not familiar with some ingredient, however Teadora’s Website has an excellent and detail explanation about the ingredients they use.
The application of the Teadora Brazilian Glow Masque and Scrub is a bit tricky. First of all we need to shake the tube well in order to mix the grainy bits with the oil present in it or else you will end up with only oil in your palm. It is not the regular clay mask where I apply and go on with my routine. I apply the mask near my sink as the grainy bits (organic sugar) tends to fall, if I am not careful. I apply and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. It does not dry like a regular ‘clay’ mask.
Later I exfoliate by gently massaging in circular motion. Again I have to be careful while I am massaging, because the sugary bits will be everywhere. I suggest to use this mask while in shower. My face feels very oily, while I am washing off the mask. After wiping my face, the feeling of oiliness and greasiness goes away. My skin feels super moisturized and smooth.
After about 3-4 hours my skin was the same, with no extra oil seeping out which is amazing. I saw better results when I used this as a body scrub. It leaves the skin very smooth and hydrated. We do not need any body cream or moisturizers later. The skin looks glow-y as if I have applied some shimmering body oil. Using the Teadora Brazilian Glow Revitalizing Clay Masque and Scrub in the shower, feels as if we have returned from a spa, all relaxed, detoxed, exfoliated and smooth.
Overall, I like the Teadora Brazilian Glow Revitalizing Masque and Scrub more as a face and body scrub than a mask. Even though I use it as a mask. I love how my skin feels soft, smooth and richly moisturized. The website mentions to use it 2-3 times a week, however I use it once a week and see good results. I cannot comment of the firmness of my skin, but I like that my skin is absorbing all the goodness of the ingredients present in this mask. This has helped in improving the overall quality and texture of my skin. Teadora has already intrigued me to try other masks and oils. I already have my trip to Seattle planned at the end of this month and will definitely be looking for some of their other products as well. This mask and scrub is available on Amazon and Teadora Website.

Thanks Shang yes it is. Even I was new to this brand but if you like to use all natural and vegan skincare it is really nice to try. 🙂
This is not a brand I am familiar with but the mask sounds pretty good for combo and oily skin, might be a touch too much for dry skin though.

Never heard of the brand but I LOVE that – thanks so much for introducing me to a new brand that I can grace my face with haha! I also adore products that double up – I’d totally go in with this as a mask and then scrub off when the times done! Red clay is a beautiful ingredient and their ethos is right up my street too – I’ll be bookmarking this! Another lovely post Via! x

Even I had never heard of this brand. It was available at a membership shopping store here and I just picked it thinking it was a clay mask. But I was surprised at how nice this is as a face and body scrub. Dry skin people will like it. Thanks a lot Jennifer. 🙂

Thanks a lot Lisa. It is a very natural and vegan brand. 🙂
Fantastic review! Thank you from Teadora! Note that we recently launched a line of DIY scrub/mask products and kits as well, so it makes it pretty easy to customize with different clays, exfoliants and oils, yet still get the benefits of these Amazon superfood ingredients.
Thanks a lot Tom. I will definitely be checking out your new launches, the DIY kit sounds interesting and I like the fact that we can customize the face packs according to our needs. 🙂
