Sugar Cosmetics Haul & My First Impressions

Hi! It’s Sugar cosmetics haul and my first impressions. Recently, I visited Mumbai twice and had a great time meeting my family. I also got the opportunity to do some shopping. Not serious shopping but little shopping. During the early days of my blog, I posted about Sugar cosmetics lipstick. It was a gift and I loved the formula and the color of that lipstick. I was keen to try more from the brand. So here I am all excited to share Sugar cosmetics haul & my first impressions.

Sugar Cosmetics is a cruelty free Indian makeup brand at a very affordable price. At the Sugar cosmetics counter in Infinity Mall Malad, I got to get close and personal with the brand. There were so many different makeup items to choose from. I bought a few lipsticks (Lipsticks are my favorite makeup) blush, eyeshadow palette and a highlighter.

Mettle Satin Lipstick – A premium quality lipstick in sleek bonze gold packaging. I l love how gorgeous these lipsticks look. The pigmentation is great, with satin matte formula. It is very light weight and creamy. I got the shades 07 Gabriella and 10 Diana. 07 Gabriella is a pretty rosy mauve shade with a hint of pink. 10 Diana is a medium warm toned peachy pink.

Wonder Woman Creamy Matte Lipstick – I was instantly attracted towards the Wonder Woman lipstick. The bold red and blue packaging with gold accents is stunning. Enriched with squalane, jojoba oil and kaolin this nourishing formula is very comfortable on the lips. It is available in ten bold shades but only a few were available at the counter. So I just got the shade 06 Ballerina Belle. It is a beautiful warm toned brown shade with a hint of peach.

Contour De Force Mini Blush – This mini powder blush is very smooth and blends easily. The pigmentation is just right and buildable. I got the shade 03 Mauve Marvel. It is beautiful plum shade with very fine specks of shimmer, when we look closely in the pan. However, that shimmer is not at all transferred on the cheeks but it gives a radiant look. It is a lovely shade for the Indian complexion.

Eye Love Jelly Eyeshadow – As the name suggests the jelly eyeshadow has a jelly like texture. The tiny little pot is very cute to hold. I got the shade 05 Copper Charisma. A beautiful warm toned bronzy rose gold shade. The pigmentation is stunning with lot of shine. It gives some serious wet metallic look. Glides on smoothly and once it is set, it will not budge. You can use it as a liner or eyeshadow. However, you have to work quickly because it sets rather quickly. It is great for that one and done looks.

Glow And Behold Jelly Highlighter – The lady at the counter showed me the highlighter and I was stunned at the super metallic pigmentation. I got the shade 03 Bronze Bellwether. I did not realize the texture at that time. But after opening the pot I was very surprised at that the wet gooey texture of this highlighter. The pigmentation is to another level. Even though I love the shade and everything about this highlighter, I found myself struggling to use it. It sets very quickly. If you don’t blend it instantly, it dries very fast and sets super quickly. So sometimes it looks patchy. Besides it also has a lot of shimmer, which I don’t prefer.

Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Palette –There were only two palettes in stock. So I got the shade 01 Flawless. A beautiful warm tone palette with a mix of mattes, shimmers and satin metallic eyeshadows. The card board packaging is okay, but these shadows soft and creamy are easy to blend. You can create numerous looks. The metallic shades are specifically beautiful.

Kohl Of Honour Intense Kajal – The shade  01 Black Out is an intense black kajal liner is a water proof formula that stays all day. It glides smoothly with precision. Once it sets, it’s going no where. I have used this for the past two weeks and it does not smudge or move. I like to use it on my upper water line. The twist up pencil is easy to use.

Overall, I love everything I bought with the exception of the highlighter. I am also happy that I got a red makeup bag free with my purchase. But the best part is I got great quality makeup for less price. I highly recommend you try this brand, especially the lipsticks. They are all amazing.
