Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Review

Hi! Today, I have Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel to talk about. I am sure you already know about this and have also seen it in every drugstore. Aloe Vera has been used for centuries for a variety of skin care, health, and medicinal purposes. My mum loves aloe vera plant and has planted so many pots with this wonder plant. Since I don’t have an actual plant I got Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel. I use it as a moisturizer and face mask.

Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is called the Wonder Plant. The gel from aloe vera plant leaves has been used to heal the skin and keep it soft and supple. It has anti-inflammatory properties that aid in the skin-healing process. Aloe is also full of antioxidants and acts as a protective skin barrier when exposed to the sun. The plant is also incredibly hydrating, which also helps to combat the skin peeling after sun burn.  The natural antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties help to treat variety of skin conditions like acne. Due to high water content it is naturally very healing, soothing and moisturizing. Besides soothing sun burns it also helps to moisturize the skin and fade away dark acne spots.

The packaging of the Nature Republic Aloe Vera soothing gel is a huge green plastic tub. It has a stopper to prevent the product from spilling. I love the green color of the packaging. It is perfect for the all natural product that is inside. I also love the details and the brand name mentioned on the lid. Even though I want to say that the packaging makes the product unhygienic, I love to open the lid and look at the glowing and sparkling gel inside. I also love to smell the natural scent of the gel. It smells like cucumber. I have got into the habit of using a spatula, so I don’t mind the tub packaging. 🙂

The aloe vera gel inside looks pure. It is as clear as water and has a lovely clean and fresh scent which I love the most. The scent is absolutely mild. It is very lightweight and feels like pure water. When we scoop a little it looks like gel but the moment it is on the skin it turns watery. It does not feel greasy, sticky or oily at all. This light weight texture absorbs into the skin instantly, without feeling like anything. Yet moisturizes the skin, making it look healthy and youthful. Once it is dry and fully absorbed, it feels like nothing at all. I also want to mention, that it is rich enough that a little goes a long way.

When I first purchased the Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing gel, I used it as a moisturizer, for my oily skin. It is lovely if you have oily skin. The next morning my skin felt very smooth and hydrated. After using it for over a month, my pores are in good condition and it also helped in preventing new break outs. I love to use this gel as a moisturizer, after using my clay masks or the mud masks. And it also reduced the little redness on my cheeks, which is impressive. It is like all the goodness of nature is helping in healing all the impurities from your face.

Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel has no parabens, mineral oil, or artificial fragrance or color. It is 92% pure organic aloe vera gel which I love. It has a few additives to prolong the shelf life of the product. There is some alcohol, which I believe is not worrisome at all. I like to use it on my arms and legs, as hair mask before washing my hair, at the back of my hand etc. We can mix it to make some DIY face mask, mix it with a little olive oil and use it as hair mask.

If you have dry skin you can mix the aloe gel with your favorite oil and use as a moisturizer, etc. It is great for oily skin people especially during the summer time when we don’t feel like using a moisturizer. Keeping aloe vera in the fridge helps to keep it cool and we can use it to reduce the puffiness around the eyes.

Overall, I am really impressed at how it makes my skin soft, smooth, plump and younger looking. It is gentle enough to use it as an eye mask too. If you are looking for a natural light weight moisturizer for summer time, it is fabulous. If you have oily skin Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing gel is perfect as a regular moisturizer, that will not make you skin greasy or shiny. I love that it is effective, convenient to use and very affordable. This tub will last you a very long time. I highly recommend trying this regardless of your skin type. It is just wonderful. It is also very affordable for only $6.20 for 300 ml of aloe gel on Amazon that will last you for ages. 🙂
