Maybelline New York Lifter Gloss Review & Swatches

Hi! I got Maybelline New York lifter gloss to try! What made me do that? Of course the social media. I saw these glosses featured everywhere. It’s evident that glosses are making a huge come back this year. Many brands are coming up with new improved non-sticky formulas. Besides it’s been a while that I bought a drugstore lip gloss. During my visit to US I picked up a few drugstore glosses to try.

Packaging

The packaging of Maybelline New York lifter gloss is clear thick plastic that looks nice and unique. The sharp square tube looks modern. However, these are a bit bulky, with a twist open cap. The large doe foot applicator is perfect and distributes the right amount of product onto the lips. It helps the gloss glide on the lips smoothly.

Formula

The Maybelline New York lifter gloss have hyaluronic acid to smooth the lips and add hydration. It feels very nourishing on the lips without feeling sticky. The formula feels light weight but stays on the lips making them look fuller and shiny. It has a fruity vanilla scent which tastes a bit sweet. Since it is a gloss it is not long lasting. However the color does not break and stays put from the first application. The formula is very hydrating and feels like lip treatment.

Shades

005 Petal – It is a beautiful rosy pink shade with some very fine shimmers. It makes your lips healthy and shiny.

016 Rust – As the name suggests Rust is a muted burnt brick red with great pigmentation and very fine gold shimmer.

Overall, I am loving these glosses. Because these are so moisturizing I reach out to them more often, even at home. It makes my lips feel soft and hydrated. It also reminds me of the Fenty gloss bombs, which is on a higher end. Besides these glosses are affordable and great quality. I think Maybelline did a great job right from the packaging to the formula and the wide shade range. If you are looking to add shine and dimension to your lips, you must try these glosses. The pigmentation and high shine is incredible and does not feel uncomfortable to wear. It lasts a couple hours on the lips and is easy to re-apply. They are amazing. I regret not buying more.
