Jennifer Lopez Deseo Fragrance For Women Review

Hi! Fragrances can instantly change your mood by reviving beautiful memories and lighten your heart. With the same thought I want to share one of my favorite for years Jennifer Lopez Deseo fragrance for women. This fragrance has been with me for a few years now. It was proudly sitting in my home in Bombay. However, when I visited the last time I brought it with me. After using it for some time I remember how much I used to love this perfume. Of course it was a gift from hubby darling.

Jennifer Lopez Deseo fragrance for women was launched in 2008. It was inspired by the fresh scents in her garden. According to Jennifer Lopez, “Deseo means desire…wish…dream…things that you want,” “It just seemed perfect for this time in my life and what I am communicating to people. Which is to inspire them, and to dream, and to want more, and to never stop reaching for the things they want to accomplish in their lives – that’s really the sentiment behind it.” I really like her sentiments behind this fragrance.

She invited her associates from Coty to visit her garden and capture the divine freshness into a lovely fragrance. I can only imagine how beautiful her garden must be with all the flowers around. Deseo perfume was created by Ellen A Molner and Jim Krivda from Coty.

About the Fragrance – “With Deseo, the inspiration came from a combination of smells in my own garden. So, I called up my friends at Coty and asked them to come take a walk through my garden with me so they could experience it. It was late at night so there was kind of a dew in the air and I took them to an area where there are these beautiful geranium flowers, orange trees, lemon trees, and all this stuff mixing together that was making this beautiful smell.”

Notes

Top Notes – Bamboo Leaves, Garde Yuzu, Bergamot and Freesia.

Heart Notes – Star Jasmine, Pink Geranium Flower, Orange Blossom and Mimosa.

Base Notes – Amber. Oak Moss, Musk, Sandalwood, Cedar Wood, Patchouli and A Mineral Accord.

The outer packaging of the Jennifer Lopez Deseo, represents the fragrance inside. I love the colors where the name of the fragrance is printed in blue and Jennifer Lopez is embossed in gold. The crystal like bottle inside is very unique, like a raw uncut diamond. One of my favorite perfume bottles. It looks like an ornament on the dresser. The bottle is divided into halves. I love the nature inspired colors of the bottle. The bottom is sky blue in color while the lid has that golden vibe. With the juice inside it looks very pretty and exotic. Well there are some other perfume bottles like the Valentino Donna that is also unique to my collection.

Deseo is a woodsy, floral and a very fresh tropical fragrance. It is the scent of the tropical rain forest, after a thunderstorm and rainfall. The top notes is where all the tropical plants lie like the bamboo leaf, yuzu fruit, bergamot and freesia. It opens very fresh, almost like green freshness. A perfect fragrance for summer time.

Deseo is both a light and a heavy fragrance. I mean it is a lighter smelling fragrance but a strong scent. It is not overpowering but also lasts a very long time. Like how some green fragrances are light and fresh but do not last that long. But this is not the case with Deseo. The heart notes has all the flowers jasmine, pink geranium, orange blossom and mimosa. They all work very well together. The lighter smelling flowers along with the freshness of bamboo and other top notes, make it a very lush tropical scent. None of them over power each other. The dry down is slightly woodsy, however the greenness and the floral is still there. This fragrance doesn’t change much through out the day.

It is a kind of fragrance that will take you some place. For me it is my home in Bombay, as I used to use it quite often there. The silage is fabulous. And the lasting power is also great. I smell it the whole day on me.

Overall, it is a pretty, exotic and also very well balanced, without being overpowering. Deseo is one of the original experience for me. If you like sexy, exotic scent that is also tropical, this is an absolute gem, in a gem like bottle. It is euphoric and joyful to wear this fragrance. I also want to mention that while I was looking for the notes I read a few reviews. Some of them mentioned it smells like coconuts to them, even though there is no coconut-y note in here. I have used it so many times and it does not smell like coconuts to me at all. It is more of a fresh tropical than the beach-y tropical. I hope that makes sense.In short it is a lovely fragrance and I highly recommend checking this one out. It is still available on Amazon and Perfume.com website.

Jennifer Lopez Deseo fragance for women is the first celebrity fragrance I have tried. And totally love it. Well! I also like listening to a few of her songs.
