My first encounter with the brand was when I first saw the smaller eyeshadow palette on Instagram. I searched for it and finally found the brand on Amazon. Story Behind The King Of Birds

Once upon a time, there was a phoenix who was inconspicuous and hardworking. As the other birds were making merry and freely eating the rich bounty of the forest, the phoenix diligently picked up every dropped seed, fruit, and grain, then stored them in a cave. The birds, unwise to the phoenix’s actions, mocked him for his greed.

One year there was a terrible drought. With no food to eat, the birds of the forest became weak with hunger. Filled with despair, they became hopeless and feared certain death. The extraordinary attention that is given to details is amazing.

When we open the palette, the intricate floral engravings is a true work of art. It exudes elegance, luxury and craftsmanship. Its like a story is being told through the beautifully, artful engraving. I have never seen such a beauty in my life.

The eyeshadows are infused with extracts of skin-brightening peony, pot marigold that is rich in antioxidants and the smoothing pearl powder. These engravings are inspired by from four Chinese literary classics: Zhang Chang Paints Eyebrows, The Legend of the White Snake, Flowers Blooming on the Pathway, and The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. Each lipstick has a different story to tell.

I purchased the shade M1314 Together Forever – This is a beautiful deep maroon red with some cool undertones, a shade that symbolizes energized and youthfulness. This shade is engraved with the story of Zhang Chang Painting Eyebrows. It has a soft matte finish that is long lasting. The creamy formula glides smoothly on the lips.

Overall, I am loving the palette as well as the lipstick. The beauty of the palette and lipstick was the reason for my purchase. The beautiful packaging is as impressive as the makeup inside. I have never seen such a sophisticated design from any other brand. These are like treasures in my collection. It did take me a while to start using them. I have been admiring the beauty of the palette and the lipstick for a few months and finally decided it was time. Yes! I am weird like this. However, to justify, I have a few friends on Instagram who also took their time to swatch these beauties.
