Dior Golden Nights Holiday Collection Lipstick Glittery Rose Review

Hi! As usual the creative director of Dior Peter Philips has released their new Dior Golden Nights holiday collection. This collection has a wide range of products that showcase black and gold theme. With this collection they are giving a ‘rock n roll twist’ to the traditional fairy tale fantasy. The golden nights collection features two 5 Couleurs Couture limited edition palettes, a lipstick set of five mini lipsticks, four shades of Diorific Golden nights lipsticks, four gorgeous nail polishes and six shades of Rouge Dior limited edition lipsticks.

The whole collection is as usual beautiful. The best part is that the Dior has improved the formula and is being appreciated for that. I was able to swatch the shadows and they are fabulous. However, the most attractive to me were the beautiful Dior lipsticks. Lipsticks are my favorite to shop. The Diorific as well as the Rouge Dior lipsticks are beautiful with all the snow flakes design imprint on the bullet. I wanted them all, but I controlled myself and got the shimmery lipstick in the shade 071 glittery rose. It is truly irresistible.

The packaging is the same iconic bauble like shiny and luxurious golden case. The lipstick inside has the embossing of the exquisite snowflake pattern and the classic CD embossing on the bullet. It is almost too pretty to use. Like last year they did with their sparkling lipsticks that took me a while to start using them. 🙂

071 Glittery Rose is a very pretty dusty rosy pink color. It is a perfect balance of warm and cool undertones. I actually found it difficult to capture the true color in the picture. This lipstick contains some fine shimmers just like the sparkling ones last year. But the finish is very pretty semi-matte, almost metallic but again I want to say it is absolutely beautiful. The formula feels a little less creamy, but the pigmentation is great. Although, it is semi satin matte finish, it is comfortable on the lips and lasts a long time on the lips.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it as a Christmas gift for women who love to wear some makeup. Even if you plan to gift one item from this collection, it is worth it. The whole collection is available at the Dior Stores as well as on the Dior Website.
