Dior Diorific Happy 2020 Sparkling Lipsticks Review & Swatches

Hi! I have been admiring the Dior Diorific Happy 2020 lipsticks for a while. I had to do a post on these to decorate my blog. :D. This year for the 2019 limited edition holiday collection, Dior released some sparkling, colorful and fun makeup. By directly welcoming the new year 2020, and calling the collection Happy 2020. This limited edition range offers some bright and bold colors. Last year I posted about the Dior lip palette, which I also love. The formula and quality of Dior is always great.

The Happy 2020 collection features two 5 Couleurs happy 2020 palettes, 4 sparkling lipsticks, four pretty shades of nail polishes. The collection looks very festive and dazzling. There are four shades of sparkling lipsticks 068 Charm, 069 Delight, 067 Dream and 066 Passion. All the shades in this collection are just gorgeous. But, I have two sparkling lipsticks in shades 066 Passion and 067 Dream, to share with you. By the way I also love the names Dream and Passion. I have the darker shades as I believe, these shades look better on my medium olive complexion.

About the Dior Happy 2020 collection – To celebrate this most wonderful time of the year, Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, draws inspiration from fireworks and reveals a vibrant “HAPPY 2020” collection. And there is just one resolution: to feel beautiful… and break with tradition.

The packaging of these lipsticks is utterly stunning and all gold. It feels heavy and substantial to hold and is really very pretty. Love it. But, the bullet inside is even prettier. Decorated with colorful sparkles, which is very pretty to look at. I have posted short videos on my Instagram as well as here. I love the sparkly shimmer coating on the lipstick. Dior Diorific Happy 2020 Sparkling lipstick in shade 066 Passion – The shade Passion is a bright medium toned pink-y red color with some blue undertone. There are fine red and purple shimmers. It is a beautiful shade. The pigmentation is fantastic and the formula is very creamy and feels lightweight. However, the finish is matte. It applies evenly and stays on the lips around 4-5 hours. This lipstick is very comfortable to wear. The color is just beautiful, like my Chanel lipstick Even though the lipstick has sparkles in it. It is not that obvious when on the lips. We have to look very closely to see the sparkles.

Dior Diorific Happy 2020 Sparkling lipstick in shade 067 Dream – A beautiful purple shade with pink undertones. The outer coating is decorated with light lavender/pink and purplish glitters. Another pretty shade. The pigmentation is again great. The formula is creamy and smooth. Just like Passion, Dream also has a lightweight feel when applied to the lips. It feels moisturizing and stays well for 4-5 hours. The finish is matte. Even though there is a lot of colorful shimmers on the lipstick, it does not transfer much on to the lips, which I like. However, when you take a closer look you will notice some beautiful shimmers, which is not too much. I promise.:-) The color in the bullet looks blueish purple but on the lips it is more like pink with some purple.

Overall, I feel proud and very happy to have these lipsticks in my collection. If you don’t know I just love lipsticks and these are so unique and pretty to look at. However, I took my time to admire them and now I am ready to use it. Hence the review is coming a little late. If you love lipsticks, you need to have them. These are still available across Dior counters. I highly recommend taking a closer look at them. I promise you will want at least one for yourself. 🙂
