Hello everyone! Today, I have the new Dior Celebrate in Gold (017) Eyeshadow palette to talk about. We are in the golden and festive month of December with all the festive decorations and lights around us. Lets celebrate the final year of this decade with some glitz and glamour. The 2019 Holiday collection from Dior, called Happy 2020 collection. This collection features some sparkly and colorful makeup. I have already spoken about the Diorific Sparkling lipsticks in my earlier post. Today, I have the Dior 5 Couleurs Happy 2020 Limited Edition, Celebrate in Gold (017) Eyeshadow palette to review.
Dior Celebrate in gold (017) eyeshadow palette is neutral five pan palette with shades of gold, taupe and bronzes. It is a beautiful palette for the holidays. Perfect one if you are a neutral shadow girl. 🙂
Product Description – This eyeshadow palette is available in two harmonies, one in warm gold tones and the other in silver, to create dazzling eye makeup looks. A variety of textures reunited in a single case to style the eyes by playing with layers of colours. The expertise of the Dior laboratories has resulted in extraordinary colour fidelity: the result on the eyes is identical to the shade and intensity seen in the case. The pigments are compacted into powders using binders to create a creamy sensation on the fingertips.
Dior Celebrate in Gold (017) eyeshadow palette is the new, limited edition five pan palette that features some sophisticated colors like gold, taupe, brown and a pretty black. You can create a natural as well as sophisticated looks with this palette. I also love the happy 2020 embossing on this palette. Maybe, that is one of the reason for it to be in my possession. 😉
The packaging of the Dior Celebrate in Gold (017) Eyeshadow palette is what we call simple, elegant and classy. The compact is the regular one that Dior has for it’s blushes and eyeshadow palettes. However, I wish like their Diorific lipsticks, Dior would have a different and glamorous looking packaging for their limited edition collections. Then the packaging would also stand out. But, I am still okay with the regular packaging. Not that I don’t like it. It is chic and elegant. But you understand what I means. 🙂 I also love to see the compact wrapped in a velvet pouch.
The formula of these shadows is very creamy and buttery. The pigmentation is just right and they blend smoothly. But when used with damp brush, these shadows are more intense. However, I always go for simple and lighter looks, so I rarely use damp brush. The swatches below look similar to my Terra Eyeshadow Palette.
Celebrate in Gold #1 – This is a warm tone bright golden shade. It has a metallic finish.
Celebrate in Gold #2 – A lighter golden champagne color, that has a metallic finish. The pigmentation is good.
Celebrate in Gold #3 – A bright warm tone taupe shade. This shade has a little lighter pigmentation in comparison to the #1 and #2. But a beautiful shade nonetheless.
Celebrate in Gold #4 – A deep brown with a hint of warmth to it. It is very different in the swatch when compared to how it looks in the palette. This one has a metallic sheen to it.
Celebrate with Gold #5 – A deep black with a hint of green undertones. I mean at some angle we do see a little bit of green tint to this black shadow. It has a semi-matte finish. It seems to have some fine shimmers, but not that prominent. The shade is actually black but in the pictures it is looking like dark grey.
Overall, I am very happy with this palette. Firstly, the embossed makeup gets to me and secondly it is Dior, the quality is always there. You can never go wrong with it. Besides, the contrasting colors and the versatility of this palette, spoke to me. Well, the colorful one was also a huge temptation. 🙂 I was a little disappointed by the inclusion of black in this palette. However, the formula of the black shadow is very smooth and creamy. All the five shades are gorgeous and perform well. :-). I highly recommend checking this palette out. What do you think of this palette? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
Until next time stay healthy, bright and beautiful! 🙂
