Cover FX Perfector Face Palette (Light/Medium) Review

Hi! Today, I have the Cover FX Perfector Face Palette (light/medium) to talk about. This face palette was launched a few months back. And as usual I added it to my wish list. But, I also kind of forgot about it. However, I was lucky to receive this palette in my March Boxycharm subscription box. Boxycharm is getting better every month. 🙂

Product Description – A travel-friendly palette of six must-have complexion essentials designed to be taken on-the-go. Mica and Silica – Smooth the look of fine lines, minimize the look of pores, and provide an all-over soft-focus, filter effect. Sculpt with contour and blush, illuminate with two shimmering highlighters, and find your perfect finish with the brightner and finishing powder for a glowing, multidimensional look anywhere and everywhere you go.

The packaging of Cover FX Perfector Face Palette is sleek and very sturdy. However, the look of the palette is very simple in comparison to my Too Faced Natural Face Palette. A cream colored plastic palette with the Cover FX logo looks simple. The box has a matte finish with some texture-y feel, like the NARS packaging. Inside there is a nice big mirror, which is great to carry while travelling. It also feels substantial and good quality. Cover FX rarely disappoints. Their Illuminating setting spray is one example that I have tried.

This palette contains two shades of highlighters, a contour powder, a blush, a “brightner” powder and a finishing powder. The Cover FX Perfector Face Palette is available in two shades – light/medium and medium/deep. I received the light/medium one. However, I wish it was the deeper version. 🙂 I like that Cover FX is vegan and cruelty-free brand. This palette is also free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, gluten,mineral oil, talc and also fragrance free.

All the powders are beautifully placed inside the palette. I have a thing for the beautiful embossing on the powders. The names of all the powders are printed at the back of the palette. However, the type or the purpose of the powder is printed beneath each one.

The quality of all the powders is lovely. They are very finely milled with enough pigmentation. You can never go wrong with it. Each one is buildable and blend well. However, the finishing powder totally surprised me with the tiny flecks of glitters. I also tried to brush it off, but we still see some.

Cover FX Perfector face palette (light/medium) features these shades.

Highlighter in the shade Starlight – It is a beautiful bronze-y golden shade. I like how subtle this highlighter is, but we can build it up.

Highlighter in the shade Divine – Divine is a pretty rosy pink shade with some peach undertone. It is a little bit more intense than Starlight.

The ‘Brightner’ shade in Moonbeam – Moonbeam is another cool tone highlighter with some pink shift. We can wear it alone or layer it with other highlighters in the palette. Great for inner corner of the eyes.

The Contour shade in Silhouette – This is a matte brown shade with neutral undertone. It is a perfect shade for contour and light enough for my medium skin tone.

The blush shade in Sublime – A rosy pink color with some warm peach undertone. This is a kind of shade that will look pretty on every skin tone. Perfect shade for the summer time and is also has a matte finish.

Finishing powder in the shade Stellar – The finishing powder has a subtle hint of pink with a lot of glitter.

Overall, I am very happy that I got this Cover FX Face Perfector Palette in my Boxycharm. All the powders are lovely. The highlighters do not look too much for my oily skin. I also carried it along with me for my vacation. It is a really gorgeous face palette. We can also use these powders as eyeshadows. However, I wish the finishing powder did not have glitters. Otherwise, it is a perfect neutral looking face palette for everyone. Have you tried this palette? Which is your favorite face palette? 🙂
