COSRX Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence Review

Hi! Yes! Its time to share my thoughts on COSRX Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence, that I have been using for the past couple months or so. This product was a gift from JOLSE Cosmetics, with no obligation to post anything. But, here I am sharing my thoughts because this is a product everyone must try. Because who doesn’t want a radiant healthy looking glowing skin.

I have heard a lot about the original COSRX Advanced Snail Mucin, but never got the chance to try. Apparently, it is one of the best serums and holy grail for many. I need to try that as well. But today, let me share my thoughts about the new COSRX Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence.

The packaging

The packaging of the COSRX Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence is the dual pump packaging. It is unique but I have used such kind of dual pump packaging in the past. In my experience it works but sometimes it doesn’t. However, the dual pump mechanism on the radiance dual essence is exceptional, because every time I use the essence, it dispenses equal amount of product. I like the packaging.

Texture & Consistency

The consistency of the radiance dual essence is thin and light weight. It spreads on easily and sinks into the skin instantly. I have not tried the advanced snail mucin, so I can’t compare with it. But I have seen the texture of it on Instagram and TikTok and it seems thicker than the radiance dual essence. The translucent mucin looks slimy and stringy but the milky essence does not. However, when applied on the skin, it feels like nothing. It has no scent and feels soothing on application. My skin feels smoother and feels instantly hydrated.

Main ingredients

As mentioned in the ingredient list, the top 3-4 ingredients are that really matter. Since this essence is packaged as two different essence, I guess the clear serum is the snail secretion filtrate and the milky essence contains all the major brightening ingredients.

Triple Snail Complex – Triple snail complex is a combination of regular snail mucin along with gold and black snail mucins. Since different snails may produce mucin slightly differently. According to the brand, the advanced radiance dual essence contains 74.3% of the triple snail complex, which I believe is on one side of the pump.

Niacinamide – The popular and well loved ingredient in beauty world. The oil absorbing, skin brightening, spot lightening, acne preventing properties of niacinamide makes it my favorite ingredient in skincare. However, for niacinamide to be effective the concentration must be 5% or more. And guess what, the dual essence contains 5% of niacinamide which is great.

Glutathione – I noticed glutathione at the end of the list. A promising brightening ingredient. It is very popular one in the Philippines and many other Asian countries and the different ways it is used to lighten the overall skin. But I don’t want to go in there. Some research does support its topical use as a brightening and depigmenting agent.

Plant oils – There is a mention of plant oils along with Glycerin. The quantity is little, so they are basically in as humectant, that provide hydration and moisture to the skin.

Performance On Oily Skin

I have been using the COSRX Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence for the past month and I am loving it. The lighter consistency absorbs instantly and feels amazing. The thinner formula spreads easily and absorbs into the skin immediately. It feels soothing while improving hydration and smoothens the texture of my skin. Having oily skin and living in a place with tropical humid weather, it provides the right amount of hydration for me. However, if you have very dry skin and live in colder weather you may need to add a hydrating moisturizer. But for me it is just perfect amount of hydration.

Overall, my skin feels magically smoother, brighter and more radiant. It did not break me out. In fact, I believe it helps heal the couple acne I get on my chin area to heal faster. The snail mucin is known for its healing properties. As far as my skin pigmentation is concerned, it is lighter in comparison to what it was a month ago. I also want to mention that I don’t see any increase in the current pigmentation or any new sun spots or acne spots since using this essence. Highly recommend you try if you love using snail mucins serums in your skincare. Your skin will transform.
