Hi! Today, I am here with the beautiful Catkin Cosmetics Blush & Lipstick and why you need to try! Before reading my post, just look at the million images and you will know why you need to try this brand. Catkin Cosmetics is a renowned C-beauty brand founded in 2007. This Chinese brand is known to offer high-quality products at an affordable price.

I have two blushes and one lipstick to share. Honestly, I purchased these only for how beautiful they looked. When I saw these on Amazon, I could not resist. 🙂 The blushes are available in 5 beautiful shades on their website, but on Amazon there are 3 shades to choose from. The Catkin rouge matte lipstick comes in 14+ beautiful shades of mostly reds and a few nudes.

The Packaging

The packaging of Catkin Cosmetics blush & lipstick is absolutely beautiful. Both the compact and the lipstick feel heavy and luxurious. I’d say this kind of packaging you will see in higher end luxury brands. Impeccable quality. The compact comes in a similarly packaged outer box, with similar pattern and design. You can also feel the raised texture on the compact. Besides, the marble pattern on the powder inside looks gorgeous.

The packaging of Catkin rouge matte lipsticks is absolutely gorgeous. The outer case of the lipstick is inspired by the traditional paintings inheriting the Eastern culture. The intricate and fine design is very beautiful. However, the packaging of the lipsticks in this range is different. Every lipstick has a different outer design and color. But the carving on the actual lipstick is similar and just STUNNING. It is amazing to know that the lipstick paste is carved by miniature and relief sculpture crafts, to promote the aesthetics of the intangible Chinese cultural heritage to the world. The Formula

The formula of Catkin cosmetics blush & lipstick is fabulous. Let me talk about the blushes first. These blushes are like 2-in-1. A perfect combination of blush and highlighter. The silky smooth formula blends easily. I love the beautiful mosaic blend of both. When we swatch it is more like a radiant blush, that adds soft color and a natural sheen to the face. It is beautiful and you cannot go wrong with application. However, I wish there was a little more pigmentation to them.

The formula of the Catkin rouge matte lipstick is pure and natural. The Catkin Site indicates that the lipstick contains plant derived squalane, phytosterols, simmondsia Chinensis seed oil, Limnanthes Alba seed oil, Vitamin E and other natural ingredients that continuously care for your lips, without drying them. The creamy matte finish, with rich color payoff is long lasting.

The Shades

I have two shades of blushes and one lipstick to share. C04 Glittering Sunshine and C02 Lovely Cheek. And the lipstick is C127 on Amazon and it is mentioned CR127 on Catkin Website.

C04 Glittering Sunshine – It is a beautiful neutral blush with a lovely glow. It is more of a highlighter on my medium skin tone than blush. It adds a beautiful glow to the cheeks and looks pretty. I use it as a blush topper.

C02 Lovely Cheek – A warm tone peachy orange blush with a mix of some cool tone purple mauve shades. This shade also adds glow to your cheeks. It is more pigmented in comparison to the C04. I love this shade very much.

CR127 Catkin rouge carving lipstick – I just can’t get enough of this beautiful lipstick. It is a pretty pinky red shade with some peach undertone. A gorgeous shade of all skin tones. This lipstick is very soft and creamy. In one swipe you get full coverage. However, it is not transfer proof, but lasts up to 5-6 hours without eating. It fades well, but does not leave any stains like some of my other lipsticks do. You can see how soft the lipstick is in the video below.

Overall, the Catkin cosmetics blush & lipstick have become one of my favorite purchases. Both the blushes are lovely right from the packaging to the actual quality of the blushes. These are easy to use, blend easily and last well. But I also want to mention on my medium skin tone the blushes work better as blush topper. Since I love lipsticks, this lipstick is my absolute favorite. I need to add a few more shades. The fabulous packaging and great quality at an affordable price, this C-beauty brand is making waves everywhere. I highly recommend you try this brand.
