Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick – Review

Hi! Today I have a lipstick to talk about Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick. I hope you are not bored of my lipsticks posts. My favorite makeup are lipsticks and it’s a big temptation for me. I love buying lipsticks from different brands . It does not matter if it is a luxury brand or a high street brand or even very inexpensive one. If I like the color and the formula I have to get it. Not that I need any more in my collection, but it gives me happiness. 🙂

Ever Bilena is a local makeup brand from the Philippines. They have a wide range of products at a very low cost and is easily available at the drugstores and the supermarkets. I got a few shades from the Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick line that I want to share here.

Product Description on the packaging – Pure impact, pure luxury, ultra matte finish! The only matte lipstick that makes your lips stay supple and smooth. Delicately developed with long wearing formula that accentuates  and pampers your lips. Incredibly luxurious with Vitamin E that gives your lips the natural moisture.

The Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks come packaged in a black cardboard box that feels matte with the silver logo of the brand. The name of the lipstick is printed on the top. Inside, the lipstick tube is  a black plastic with a matte feel. The brand  logo and the product name is embossed on the tube in silver. On the top  of the tube, to be precise on the cap of the tube there is an indicator that shows the shade of the lipstick. It comes handy when you have a million lipsticks in your collection. That’s not all the indicator cap can be removed, and inside there is a tinted lip balm of the same shade as the lipstick.

I realized that recently, when the cap fell and it opened on its own hehehe :-).  At the bottom of the tube there is a sticker with the name of the lipstick.Appearance wise, the packaging is superb and looks luxurious and high end. But when you hold the lipstick in your hand, the tube feels light weight, a little filmsy and very delicate. But for the price the packaging is elegant and looks classy.

The formula of the Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks is soft and creamy. It glides on the lips easily without dragging or pulling, however we need a few swipes to get the even application, unlike their Luxe lipsticks. It feels light on the lips and does not settle into fine lines. The presence of Vitamin E in the lipstick does not dry the lips.The pigmentation of these lipsticks is amazing and these last well through out the day. End of  the  day I feel some dryness but that is what all matte lipsticks do and here comes the need for the lip balm that is included in the packaging. I have to mention these do not stain the lips like many of my other lipsticks do. It has a sweet scent to it.  The shades that I have to share are Dusk, Storm and Toast of Newyork. 

Dusk – Dusk is a dark brown burgundy shade that will look beautiful on medium to darker skin girls. I believe the brown with some red looks beautiful on all complexions. I have been wearing this shade a lot this season.

Storm – Storm has more of red and less brown. It is like a reddish maroon color. A shade that is gorgeous across all skin tones.

Toast of Newyork – This is a darker nude shade that belongs to the brown nude family. This particular shade applies a little sheer in comparison to Dusk. This is one of the most loved and popular shade in the line that will look great on all skin tones. Toast of Newyork is one of my everyday nude that looks pretty on my medium skin tone.

Overall, I like these lipsticks. There are a wide range of shades available. The creamy texture and the lasting power is also great. It lasts approximately four hours. It is impressive that Ever Bilena has such amazing quality lipsticks with some elegant packaging  at such low price. This  is a must try for everyone if you visit Philippines. Since I am enjoying  these lipsticks it will be interesting to try the liquid lipsticks by the brand. You can purchase these lipsticks from their website or any drugstore or supermarket.
