Isn’t this product alluring? It has this aura of mystique surrounding it. Look at the packaging its so classy and beautiful. Yes this is Lancôme Advanced Genifique youth activating serum and the Lancôme Genifique Yeux youth activating eye cream.
Both these products were bought by my husband while he was in transit and as we all do some duty free shopping (with these he had also received a cute tiny little sample bottle of the serum) he purchased this serum for himself to use on a couple of super-dry patches on his ear. He gave me the eye cream and the perfume (which he always gets for me while he is travelling). He used the sample bottle first and later went back to his old moisturizer. As usual the classy bottle of serum was just sitting on the counter. Only recently I decided to start using the eye cream and the serum together. I have been using this every morning and night time for a week.
This serum is very gentle and absorbs by the skin super quick. At application it feels a little sticky but then its gone in a few seconds. It feels as if nothing is applied on the skin and I love that light feeling – no greasiness or heaviness or oily residue. If we use too much if may feel sticky but very little goes a long way. This bottle will last a long time. It feels good on the skin and helps with balancing the texture, lines and unevenness. It has a pleasant clean scent. The auto filling dropper us a nice touch to the luxe packaging.
The consistency of the Genifique eye cream is lovely not too thick or thin. Its between a gel and a cream. It glides on easily and is absorbed well. The packaging of the eye cream is no doubt a beautiful little glass jar but unfortunately one has to dip their fingers into the jar. An applicator included would have been good. Make sure to use clean fingers. This eye cream works well to brighten the under eye area and reduce puffiness. About fine lines and wrinkles it may take some more time to test the claims.
I am pretty happy with the results and will continue using it especially for the dark circles around my eyes. What are your current favorite creams and serums that I should try? 🙂
