Dior Holiday Couture Collection Daring Lip Palette Review

Hi! Today I have a short review of the beautiful Dior Holiday Couture Collection Daring Lip Palette. This lip palette is part of the different holiday sets by Dior. I rarely include luxury items on my blog but I had to include this pretty palette.

Product Description – In tribute to the timeless rock spirit of the latest Dior runway shows, the Daring Lip Palette is adorned with a studded canework motif to create a pure object of desire. The accessory no modern woman can do without, it offers the perfect balance between intense matte shades and vibrant, satiny colours to create a radiant smile for any occasion.

The packaging of the Dior Holiday Couture Collection Daring Lip Palette is absolutely beautiful and luxurious. The palette is housed in a beautiful black leather case. I love the gold studded insignia of Dior on the case. It looks and feels very luxurious. There is a small mirror inside the case. It comes with a dual ended lip brush which is very soft and great quality. The Dior Daring Lip palette is small and compact. It is a great lip palette to travel.  I don’t know but I am short of words to describe the beauty of this palette. So lets move on. 🙂

The Dior Holiday Couture Collection Daring Lip Palette features five lip products. I like the variety in this palette. There is a gloss, lip plumper, the famous lip maximizer and matte lipsticks all in one compact palette. The lip products and the shades in this palette are – Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in the shade 008 Sparkling Pink, Dior Addict Lacquer Stick 677 Indie Rose, Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss 759 Dior Mania, Rouge Dior 999 matte and Rouge Dior 964 Ambitious Matte. I always wanted to try the Lip glow but never gave myself the chance, because I always get the lipsticks. Hehe!

Dior Addict Lip Maximizer  in shade 008 Sparkling Pink – The lip maximizer is translucent with some sparkling shimmers. It feels moisturizing and has a thick balm like consistency. When I apply it on the lips, I feel the cool tingling sensation which helps to plump the lips. It is similar to the Too Faced Lip Injection that I have tried earlier. However I don’t taste or smell the mint flavor. But, my lips feel moisturized and have a slight plumped effect when I used it a few times.

Dior Addict Lacquer Stick 677 Indie Rose – A delicate natural looking rosy pink. Like, your lips but better kind of a shade. It is glossy and feels like a lip balm.

Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss 759 Dior Mania – This is a rosy toned gloss with some fine golden shimmer particles. The texture is like a balm. But on the lips it is glossy and pretty. However, it is not like those sticky glosses which we don’t like. It also keeps the lips hydrated. This gloss gives a fuller looking lips which looks pretty.

Rouge Dior 999 Matte – The number 1 best selling iconic red by Dior is 999. This red is available in satin as well as in matte finish. However, the one in this palette is matte. The highly pigmented formula is long lasting and does not compromise with the long wearing comfort of the lipstick. It is a beautiful red shade. I prefer a blue toned red but now I can  get out of my comfort zone and try a little warm toned true red. 🙂

Rouge Dior 964 Ambitious Matte – This is such a pretty berry color with some warmth to it. I just love to have berry lipsticks because it looks lovely on my complexion.  In the swatch you can see, it has a little red to it. The packaging says, it has a matte finish, but I think it has a satin matte formula that is very comfortable on the lips. There is a glossy shine to the lips. The pigmentation is just one swipe and intense color.  I love it. But, I also love my colourpop lipsticks and the drugstore lipsticks. 🙂

Overall, I am very happy with my purchased the Dior Holiday Couture Collection Daring Lip Palette and I am reaching for this palette more often. However, I am also concerned that I will use this palette sooner. The name “addict” in the Dior line of makeup is so apt, because I feel I am getting addicted to these lovely lipsticks and lip glosses. Some of the shades, in this palette are exclusive or the limited edition ones that are included here. ( Please correct me if I am wrong.) I always prefer a mini lip palette as we get so many shades to try and it is easy to travel with. Besides we can mix and match these shades and play around with the colors.
